- www.coptool.com - Milwaukee has introduced several press tools these new ones are specifically designed for residential applications and running PEX lines. Price is less than the copper press tools but for those that don't need the capacity these provide a great value.
crazy time to be alive, 7 years ago I had never heard of pro press or even pex everything around me was solder and copper now the only things you plug in are:
1. chargers for your batteries
2. shop vacs / dust extraction
3. table saws and some miters (many cordless miter options are beasts if you're only doing a few cuts on the go)
How in as little as 7-8 years , battery press tools have literally become a game changer , to an industry standard 🙈 I wish this was 25 years ago when I started my apprenticeship

So, I just got this M18 PEX crimper and... I'll be doing a review next time I'm plumbing, but off the bat I can see a few issues. No doubt I'll enjoy the one handed presses though. It's just super bulky and can't get right up to T fittings in some instances. Definitely better made than the Ryobi PEX crimper, but a lot bigger and heavier.
Let's just say, with good planning, manual crimpers can get everywhere needed, but just make sure you have space before crimping in close quarters.
My Fortress Construction thats why you should’ve went with Ridgid Pex One. Ultra light and gets to places Waukee would never do. 🤙🤙🤙
@@dewaltpropicture9909 It's all a big rip off,Milwaukee and Rigid have these tools made in China for very cheap then they sucker Americans into buying those tools at insanely high markups.The guy in the video makes it all sound so complicated talking about "needing less force and thousands of dollars for metal pipe press tools." I call bullshit on all of it.Sure,the press tools save time and money but for who other than contractors and plumbers that already charge insane prices?And to add insult to injury companies like Milwaukee and Rigid get outrageous tax breaks that they are not entitled to being that those companies have and continue to outsource over seas where they have their tools made dirt cheap to then sell those tools here in the U.S. at 1,000% markups.Who do companies such as Milwaukee and Rigid think they're fooling?I feel for those of you out there that spent thousands of dollars and now have to spend who knows how many more thousands of dollars for this "Milwaukee M18 Short Throw Press Tools 2674-22P (Viega PEX) & 2674-22C (PEX)" but it serves you right.Companies such as Milwaukee and Rigid fleece you because you fall for their garbage sales pitches and allow your greed to over rule your common sense.Contractors and plumbers have to eat but often contractors and plumbers overlook the fact that the rest of us non contractors and non plumbers have to eat too and very very few of us non contractors and non plumbers can afford to take out a second mortgage on our homes just to pay the outrageous prices that contractors and plumbers often charge.There are many ways to join pipes other than with pipe pressing tools but if you're ignorant,weak minded and greedy of course you're going to believe all the garbage the guy in the video is telling you that "pipe pressing tools are the be-all-to-end-all.".As if their press tools alone weren't so insanely priced their press jaws are also insanely priced.$2,500.00 to $4,000.00 and more for those press tools?They can eat those press tools and choke as far as I'm concerned.

I don’t see the point of having this super expensive tool when a regular crimper was fast anyways, now the pex expander is something I can justify spending the money for.

I just got Milwakee 2674-22c which is for pex crimping, I wonder if the jaws are interchangeable to be able to do Propress fittings also.
Can you also use the viega pro press heads that do the copper fittings with this tool if you buy the jaws for it?
Good luck with that because the press jaws are just as insanely priced as the press tools themselves are and most likely are not interchangeable.

those manual press tools are not what contractors use so their argument is well exaggerated. I own this m18 press so it's not like i am saying that it's not better... I use it almost daily - but lets be honest Milwaukee. Do your homework and not look for the tool sold at Lowes that makes your product seem miles ahead.
Hows the cost of fittings compared to regular crimps?
Nico Ri both fittings and rings are costly but well worth the money because of ease and time consumption of connection
Material cost is irrelevant as labour cost is 80% of the cost
They let the tiniest twig show an example of using a crimp tool haha. This tool is a waste of money you could put elsewhere imo, it’s just way too big and ur not saving much time by having it, whereas the pex expander it saves tons of time.
Plumbing has come a long way.
Prefer a soldered joint every day.
