Her story has made me shed tears. I remember in campus I learnt Deejaying and that became my side hustle. Graduated in 2016 with a diploma in civil engineering but stayed for a while before getting a job in that field. Within few months I got a job in a certain club as a resident dj. It used to close at 1am or 2am so I used to be paid 200bob before leaving the club at that time. Remember I had a laptop and my pioneer sb2 which I had bought myself after leaving campus. I remember couple of times the supervisor would tell me we haven't made good money that night and I would leave so as to be paid the following day.Having no means to get home I would risk and walk myself home but making sure I leave my equipment in that club to be picked in the morning. I remember one day I got rained on at around 2am and just by good luck my neighbor who is a pastor gave me a lift and I reached home well. To cut the story short I decided to further my education and I did my bachelors degree in civil engineering and my life is not the same again compared to those days of struggle. Indeed is better to start from the scratch.
If there was an Engage talk I really looked forward to, it was this one. One thing I will always admire in Sana is the fact that, she owns her story. She owns her mistakes, and beyond that, she embodies hope that we can all pick up. May your light still so shine, Sana!
Sanaipei represents many celebrities of my time. She is one of the very few who have managed to pick themselves up after fading away and moved on to better her life. KUDOS
Good thing you recognized that retrogressive would have been finding someone; my daughter coming back home to regroup and reset is far from retrogressive, it’s bold and welcomed. Thank you for sharing
That is an informative, encouraging and inspiring talk. Sanaipei is real and ordinary, which makes her a special kind of celeb when compared to many of her Kenyan peers. I really appreciate this Engagement.
Making me wish for the thermos and two sausages. Sanaipei... Do not give up. Keep it up. You are somebody... You were before the group, you were before fame.... YOU WERE, YOU ARE AND YOU ALWAYS BE GREAT! Don't give up even when things are tough! Even when people put you down. Tuendelee!
I love autobios and since not everyone can write books, I'm glad we have a platform like Engage Talk. Maybe I'll be lucky to tell my story too one day. But first I gotta figure my way out of the basement... yeah, rock bottom has basements!
What we see in people out here and what they have to surmount in their real life is unsurmountable. Until you hear each one of us stories is when you will understand that your own story is nothing to compare. Never judge or downplay anyone. Each of us is created in our own special way with unique destinies. Live your life and let others be.....!! Sanaipei, big up girl.
Sana seems to be the kind of person who wouldn't do anything for fame or money. Her brand is solid. I can trust her to market/recommend things that are genuinely good. I guess her upbringing and support from her family take credence for that. I'm so happy to hear that she's doing much better now.
We truly should take time to know, understand and appreciate people we esteem to be doing better than we are. This story has taught me that in many instances, they are going through untold challenges and our grass is greener than theirs
Sometimes you fall, sometimes you fail. There is no shame in going back, and starting from scratch! Beautiful story! You still are a queen, after the ups and downs that made you strong, the best is yet to come. Thanks for sharing your life! 🙏
I think this is the most I've had her talk about her ex (Manga, I think?) Anyways, we needed to hear the story of resilience, falling and picking herself up..
I love what you said about your bro he used to keep boys away from you lol. You are a great lady and eventually things fall into place. You have shared so much truths indeed the shoe wearer knows where it hurts. Congratulations keep soaring
What a beautiful story . I have always loved your strong personality and your music. I would never have thought that you went through all this. I am happy that you managed to pick yourself.Go queen!!
My take from this is an assurance that things will work out. "... The beauty about this is when you are down, there's only one way to go 👆" ~Sanaipei. It's kinda tough staying hopeful especially when things don't work out the way we'd like them to be. I hope I'll get there too.
There's no shame in starting from scratch! That one got me very loud and clear! And hey you really love that blazer! It's the same you wore on Obina show❤❤.Right?
I feel that I so much resonate with Sana’s story..l believe that I am heading to owning an own built home. Thanks for sharing Sanaipei .Keep thriving and excelling.God bless

I've always had a crush on this lady and she's 11 years older than I am.😅. Also my favourite Kenyan Musician.

@@Habibtay Doing that now. I like her even more!!
She’s been in the limelight for so long that it’s surprising how her journey was behind the scenes. Bora uhai saizi.
Nice work Sanaipei...this is many peoples' story...only a few have the courage to tell it. Congrats
Straight out of Kina….Saana you are amazing in all you do….❤
