We have these lights and I love them! Transformed our house! We love that you can turn off each light individually. Most of the year we just have our peaks and corners lit!

I know I thought it was really clever. Even though we ended up using Staples for most of the install. 🤣

I’ve been thinking about installing these an after watching your video I’m still curious about something’s. 1. After you cut the extra lights off, are they junk or can you attach them to another set to get the correct length? 2. As long as there are 4 or more can you slice and reconnect wherever.? That’s my only concern is cutting and what becomes waste? Also how does two separate lines sync to flow? Ok. That’s all for now. Great video by the way, very helpful.

      Good questions.
      1. Theoretically, as long as you haven't added the max number of sections you would be able to splice those lights back in. (Total guess, but based on other lights).
      2. You can only do this on the last section (remove). Like #1, I would assume if you want to take the risk you could add gaps in with extra wire (larger gauge).
      3. If you have two separate controllers added as a group, then it only syncs when you start. What I mean is, if you start an effect both strings of lights will start with the same effect, but if your strings are different lengths, then you will see "drifting". They will fall out of sync.
      Glad you liked the video!

    Hey sir
You gained a new follower. You are awesome! I have a question for you. I ordered to boxes of these and I have a Christmas light installer company coming to hang them (roof is high). Do the hook up to each other light regular lights or do I need to have an extension cord so they both have power?

Let me know if I am not understanding your question correctly. The controller needs to connect to a standard 120V outlet (usually found in an eve for Christmas lights). Then each of the lights strings connect to each other with the twist on connector. If you ordered two boxes, then you can either connect them together as one string with one power connection (note that you only get 75% brightness like this). Or connect to two 120V outlets.
Also, make sure your 120V outlet is protected with an IN USE outdoor cover, not the "flip close" style!!

Yep, these lights won't be falling down like Govee's lights. Probably won't have any diodes burn out either! Getting 3 sets for my house!

I always staple my installs up! Gave me an excuse to buy a Ryobi stapler.
