@@ASMRwithVictoriaI should have been there to do the Indian head massage while you did the foot reflex for an hour, then switched places for the next hour.
I can relate to your client and her anxiety. I catastrophise all the time. I take every small issue, or general everyday thing and invent these totally fictional and scary scenarios in my head. Its so difficult to stop my brain doing it. Its due to a traumatic childhood. I use these ASMR videos to help me relax at night because thats when the thoughts get really crazy.
@rogermoore27 it doesn't make me unhappy all the time mainly because I have learnt to focus on the things I am doing in the present, or I find that sitting and making "lists" of possible bad scenarios and how I can combat them helps. For a long time I didn't know what it was I had, I just knew it wasn't normal. Since being able to put a name to the problem I have found some very helpful advice on behaviours that can combat it. I also like to do something I call "grounding". I go through everything good in my life and tell myself how lucky I am and that I can deal with bad things because I have made it this far in life. It is exhausting to live with though.
@@thelimitdoesnotexist2705 good tips. Lists of things you’re grateful for are also incredibly powerful. Also, ‘ground’ yourself by eating root vegetables, sitting on the ground whether outdoor or indoor. Touch the grind with your hands. Really look at trees, as if studying them for a painting. See their energy around them, as if tree affects the way the wind blows. All brings us back to the perceptive on life that we are here as a very very small component part of a massive picture. But vitally important. You are here, you are now, you are loved.
Great video - such an amazing therapy and a nurturing treatment. It never seems rushed when you are treating. One question: at the start, how did you know your client was in socks and not tights?! 😅

Sure! It’s a 20 min assessment, essential oil selection and blending based on what’s found, then treatment mainly targeted at 5 key areas that raised their heads in the assessment. I also add in kinesiology muscle testing and Brazilian Toe Technique that aren’t inherently part of Swiss Reflex.
We were taught not to use oils for reflexology as it can make the feet too slippery and become harder to hit the reflex points. Do you think that's wrong? Your oil blends look amazing!
That’s so interesting. I can see the reasoning behind that. I may try it sometime but I’d feel the client would be missing out on essential oils. Hmm dilemma.
Yes, I can also see pros and cons of both. I tend to use wax on the feet as a sort of compromise, plus you can get ones with the scents you want. @@ASMRwithVictoria

True, it was filmed in mid May. The weather wasn’t that hot then, the thick walls of the Bothy allow the room to stay cool and when we relax it’s sooo nice having some warmth applied. But I get your drift… no one is having hot towels atm!
I wonder if our feet reflect our genetic background. Her feet remind me of the feet of Ancient Greek and Roman statues, strong and noble. My feet look nothing like that.
"A little bit of anxiety, fear of things that probably won't happen". Dang, this one wins the price of the most generic statement ever XD Also if she comes from Denmark for this, it's quite expensive for what boils down to an oily foot rub and warm socks.
It sounds like she catastrophises which is a symptom of anxiety disorder, it's extremely frustrating and tiring to live with. It's usually caused by long term trauma or show up in PTSD symptoms. Reflexology didn't help mine but did calm me for the duration of the session.
@@thelimitdoesnotexist2705 I mean, these two things alone are in dozens and dozens of problems and are some of the most generic things you can say. "You look stressed" is the go to thing and a good bet when 90% of people are stressed. Not to diminish your problems of course.

Great video - such an amazing therapy and a nurturing treatment. It never seems rushed when you are treating. One question: at the start, how did you know your client was in socks and not tights?! 😅
Hmm true. I’d already given Anna a kore therapy prior to the reflexology so I’d picked it up earlier.
This looks absolutely amazing. So relaxing. How many sessions a day do you do? It's relaxing for the client, but I wonder if your hands get tired?
Not really. Clinic only open 3 long days a week and sometimes I don’t have many clients. Maybe up to 7 a day. Hands are fine!

At around 42:48 is there a reason why you've crossed your hands for each foot? Looks so relaxing 😌

What a lovely observation. I’m sure Anna will be touched.
I am assuming that poor lady suffers from either OCD or GAD. Hope you will get better girl! Been at it for many years…
Generalised Anxiety Disorder affects a growing amount of people. I’m noticing especially ladies in their 20s and 30s.
What I would like to know is:
If you don't have very strong fingers, do you just end up with some Mazola?
Reflexology is a good exercise for the hands.. creating strong fingers.
We'll pop the socks on the radiator so the smell of feet fills the room...😅
