Some Spartan channels have come and gone over the years so we truly appreciate your hard work and consistency to bring us the interviews and analysis of the Green and White. Thank you!
Funny thing about Spartan Stadium, attendance of 54,000 and the place looks 1/2 empty. That's enough to pack Autzen stadium to the rim. It's a good thing MSU won or that Rutgers game would be the lowest attendance in Spartan history.
I noticed you mentioned 7 teams and just 1 QB. When Chiles has 0 time in the pocket because the O-line can’t protect, and the receivers keep running into each other, it is Michigan State as a whole, and not just Chiles.
Thanks for reminding us of the weather elements for those who watch TV. What looks to be a simple execution as a TV spectator / fan is far different from what is happening on the field. Go Green! Rutgers has their 6 wins, they are not a pushover team. However, hopefully the Spartans play their BEST game this year next week to secure that last conference win.
Agree that he weather had an impact on Chiles in the second half. The Cali will have to toughin up. Playing in colder weather with rain, sleet, or snow is not easy.
Coach Smith & co. had a tall order this year - looking forward to the Rutgers game (was at last year's in Piscataway and it sucked - in the 4th qtr!). SOMEBODY has to teach these Spartans quick slant passing over the middle, outside - forget about lateral passes to the flats. My opinion - stop the lateral stuff on the runs - run it up the gut - pound, pound, pound..., Chiles needs to build strength and body mass in the off-season. Smith & co., have a lot of building to do in the next 9 months; I'd stick with Chiles and build the team around him..., GO GREEN!
The weather played a factor for MSU not executing, but it also saved the defense at times. Purdue had a lot of big drops that probably don’t happen if it’s dry.
Chiles still needs polish on the details. Going to the line on 4th down, ball in the, left hand. Throwing a pick but the penalty saved him. Throwing to a TE 6 yards behind the sticks and it should have been at his feet. Needs to start tightening it up, game 12 coming up.
At 5:10 Jim gives an Angelo Grose reference. Dude was VERY effectively targeted by Purdue the second half. He constantly gets sidetracked in zone coverage looking at what’s going on beyond the line of scrimmage. He should never be in anything but man to man as a corner. He was good as a true freshman in Dantonio’s last year doing that. This multiple year failed safety experiment thing with Grise has been dreadful. Dreadful. Play him again in the same role and what do you think Rutgers is going to do? Play Denson and we could win.
Smith and his staff are just awkward. Do dumb things. Just goofy. Chiles is also goofy. Everything about this program is goofy. If they don’t turn it around next year. Good lord
They need to fire haller and smith. The athletic dept needs wholesale changes. The university needs a real plan for this program bc they're on the verge of obscurity and it's like they don't care
This team is playing 2nd and 3rd string guys in most positions. There's only so much they can do with what they have. This experience for the younger guys will pay off in 1-2 years
@@lylemoore3827💯 you’d think that the injury report is a top secret confidential document and not something that’s posted on the internet before every game. Lyle, throughout this season, I’ve learned that you are one of like six Spartan fans (myself included) who are not reactionary lunatics. We’ll be having a grand time in two years while the rest of them pretend that they were pro-Smith the whole time…

Fun stat on teams passing against Purdue:
ND passing 216 yards
Neb Passing 257 yards
Wisconsin Passing 361 yards
Illinois Passing 379 yards
Oregon Passing 290 yards
Northwestern Passing 302 yards
Ohio State Passing 260 yards
Penn State Passing 305 yards
Aiden Chiles Passing 159 yards
He’s a freshman cat
No way State beats Rutgers without 250 (or likely more) in the passing game. The California kid won’t be playing in nice weather, either.

Every qb they have played this season is in at least their 4th season in college
Chiles is not progressing, 11 games under his belt. I don't buy the inexperience argument. He doesn't have any feel for the situation in a game.
MSU played stooge ball the entire second half
Chiles was terrible this game and I’m officially worried that next year is going to be more of the same.
Goo Green
Paul, the weather had nothing to do with it; Chiles was inaccurate during the game and all year.
This sounds like Michigan fans saying the illegal scouting scheme had nothing to do with them winning games…
@@j_r_junior Purdue's QB threw the ball much better than Chiles did
I just think you must have not watched much college football
@@luiscasco9358 yeah, how can you blame the weather when Card had over 300 yards passing?
The weather helped MSU. Do you think Purdue drops all those passes if it’s sunny and 50°?
Nah. I apologize. Paul is just in defense mechanism mode because he knows the team stinks and he doesn’t know what to say
MSU roster suck MSU needs to stop doing mark Dantonio way recruiting that is not how win championships those days are over

Smith is not getting fired after 1 season. Calm down 😂
Who is “they”? Are “they” reading your comment? Are “they” in the room with us right now??
Three years minimum for any coach is fair for both parties. A win over Rutgers would make this season average in my mind.
MSU is lucky we didnt lose, Smith is horrible this proved it

Well.... I'm glad we won. But that second half was very ugly. We need our guys to get healthy and come back next year with more depth. Go GREEN
Sparky is trash
Sparky? Dumbass
