Man as a local thanks but you left off a lot. Like the new protective life stadium , the new city walk park that'll have a ton of everything including the forth largest public skateboard park. The world games is coming in 22 as is the USFL is attempting a reboot playing all teams games here for 22. Birmingham race course for dog racing , also missed red mountain park for zip lining tree houses and mountain biking. Oak mountain park for horseback riding, beach, hiking, golf,camping etc. Multiple golf resorts. Miles , Birmingham southern, Samford, U A.B., colleges multiple entertainment districts, breweries and distillers, rotary trail Vulcan trail we also got basketball one of the best minor league baseball stadium as well as the oldest baseball field in America at Rockwood field. Which is know a major league park as it was home of the black barons . We got hockey the bulls and a awesome soccer team called the legion. Not to mention it's great weather and location 3 hours from the beach or Smoky mountains. 1 hour from the second cleanest lake in America 2 to Atlanta 3 to Nashville. As far as city commute it's called a twenty minute city as you can get anywhere in 20 or so minutes. Oh and it's one of the fastest growing stat up tech sectors in America. I know our history is brutal but it taught us alot that many parts of America are still struggling to learn. Google the Birmingham pledge, and if desire look at stats for minorities by state then look up hate crimes , you'll see while we are 40% minority were also in the bottom ten for hate crimes. It's just not what's been claimed and people are learning the great secret we've built while they ridiculed, we're friendly to a fault come and get some great food some time.
In my opinion and as a former resident. Not awhole lot to do there. You could probably see all the attractions in less than a week. Sidewalks downtown roll up b4 dark. I'm originally from NYC,so I couldn't deal with it. After a few years I moved to Maryland
