It looks like animals can love California too, given their state pet and the fact that they don't allow dogs and cats to be sold at the pet store unless they are rescued!
Edit: this is also the first state that banned forced dissection in public schools!
Edit 2: now it's illegal in California to sell any new merchandise that is made in whole or in part from the fur of any animal other than a cow, a sheep or a deer!

Why is the U.S. flag in the background and not the California flag?

During the time of conceptualization of the videos for the 50 states, I tried to look for the 50 waving flags video clips, but did not find them. As not to make the background boring, and logically the 50 states are part of the whole USA, I instead made use of the USA waving flag as the main video background, and just the image of state flag as an on and off secondary background.
