@@rustyy__ it's not just Samsung, it's also Google, Sony, Nothing and now even Honor. Bricks in packaging are becoming a thing of the past. We all need to get used to it, or start buying Xiaomi, Realme, Vivo, OnePlus phones.

It is the size. The 6.7 screen is what many people want. Snapdragon 680 is also a decent processor.
*_If I'll choose between the A05 and A05S, I'd still get the latter for it's 1080p FHD display and fingerprint biometrics. Other than that, I'd say go for the A15 5G instead directly. Just my two cents._*

Honestly as someone who loves taking pictures of bugs and flowers, the macro is enough of a selling point for me
I have always been intrigued at this phone since it is really cheap but a new Samsung device. I would get it as a backup and specifically for filming and only filming. I would also rather get a Samsung than a Motorola because of updates and stuff. Glad to see one of my fav tech guys getting (hopefully) the exact color of the A05s that I'd prob get sometime in the future🔥

What would you recommend if they were all the same price and If High refresh rate , charging spped and performance wasn't a deciding issue:
A13 or A14 or A04s or A05
(I just care about Display vividness, software update and battery, and I would have just got the A14 if it wasn't that ugly from the front with abnoxious bezels)
I've been using this phone since Oktober and I'm still loving it. After an update a month ago to one UI 6 , makes my phone slightly faster and the new look is interesting. So far there's nothing a complain for me in this phone. The only complain i have that the screen bezel is thicker than I've anticipated 😅😂

Not really, if you content with just social media scrolling, media consumption like netflix youtube, and some light gaming.. i think it does the job very well, and the battery is so good..

The Snapdragon 680 is actually good for budget phone, because this same soc was on A23 and is way more expensive. The A05s display colour and quality isn't as good as the A13, besides it has no Gorilla Glass. You may think the performance isn't really good with 680, but it is actually the One UI is really bad performer. I have used Flyme and MIUI on slower devices and cheaper than A05s and A13 and outperforms all of them in UI smoothness

Playing COD Mobile on mine on the lowest settings of course.
Gaming Hub is missing Game Booster and game plugins on the A05s which the A04s has.
I love CODM but u sure u can’t even play with medium graphics without lag? Also, how is the speed and how do you feel about the phone after using it for some time. I mean about the practicality of it, stuff like how easy it is to carry around and one handed use and stuff 😂
Had mine for a week now, stunning phone - Hint - It's not a S24 Ultra.
I turned the refresh rate down to 60htz (Std), and turned on power saving mode and the battery lasts forever! I always thought power savingode would wreck the performance, but with both of those settings, there is zero difference in the phones' performance. Love it.

When the phone screen is large with good resolution,i hardly care a out the bezels.
imo this phone is infinitely better than the A05 in a number of ways, not just the screen, finger print scanner, better screen with a higher res and higher refresh rate, triple camera setup, better front facing camera, better chipset and One Ui 6 vs One Ui core
This is the phone Samsung is pushing heavily in my market to get people in the entry level space and into the Samsung ecosystem, while it's base price is high and for a few extra bucks the A15 is the better pick, because Samsung is pushing this phone so much, it's always on Sale, which makes it a really sweet buy, that's the reason i got over the A15, because comparing the sale price to the A15 price, it's a significant difference.

the bad thing is they use emmc on the S variant. i have the s variant and compared it to my Redmi Note 11 which is identical except it uses ufs..result? redmi note 11 is better..

I can understand the reasoning to streamline the designs of all the A series phones so they all essentially look the same from the back. However, I still can't get over the fact that Samsung has made all their flagships look the same now as well!?
If I'm going to be paying a premium price for a flagship, I don't want it to look similar to midrange device, let alone a budget one!
And those who buy budget phones want more premium design like s series

To me, it feels like you are paying for the fingerprint scanner, and the design, because this looks more like a flagship S series phone than the A05.

I feel like the A05s is just like a bridge. I mean lets just say there are 2 Islands (A05 and A15). The A05s is pretty much just a bridge to fill in the gaps.
If you want actual upgrades, Go for the A15 5g.
If your the kind of person who just needs a phone, just go for the A05.
Like, lets be honest. Who actually takes macro shots very often? Its either you decided to test your macro lens, or you just randomly take macro photos at 3am
If you want a better screen, Go for the A15 5g, that has an amoled.
A05 doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor. I think that will be a deal breaker for many in terms of security.
