The economy won't be strong if they keep rates where they are, that's what they are ignoring and which will once again be their demise. Waiting, waiting, waiting, instead of acting pro-actively to avoid chaos. They have no clue how to manage things, ughh.
The Fed should have raised it to 6.5% over a year ago. With a time limit of 1 year.
They would have room now.
Keeping the rates at a moderate rate for 2 years just sucks my wallet dry 😮
They keep this up it will lead to hard crash. Also teasing rate cuts is like a hot gir saying maybe 😩

There has been a recession 100 percent of the time there has been a tightening cycle. It repeats itself every time everybody comes in and front runs the Fed when the tightening cycle is coming to an end. When he starts cutting rates that's the rug Pull. When the yield curve inversion uninverts that is when all the fun stuff starts happening. This is the longest yield curve inversion ever. History tells us the longer it is inverted the worst the recession is or should I say depression. The last depression took 30 years for the market to hit the previous all-time highs. I feel bad for the people who bought at the top in 1929. Commercial real estate is where we're going to have our downfall this time. It's going to be like 08 but with commercial real estate. I have put away so much cash and been buying gold and silver the physical gold and silver. Just like last time I will be selling at the top silver hit almost $50 an ounce in08. I will be selling calls and buying puts on triple leveraged indices and we're getting to a point where I'm getting all out except for my long-term plays
i disagree. Im an amateur arm chair economist, but you cant make a strong argument they should do this instead of that, theyre doing basically all they can do right now, and as most of the data lags, i dont see how you argue they should cut rates right now, not based on my knowledge of economics
@@austinlittke7688 They are only looking at inflation rate, real-estate is half of the inventory it was 2 years ago, housing and construction sectors are about to start showing them that they are heading for a massive recession unless they start to let up a little to allow more competition among sellers. There are not enough people wanting to sell because they still have much lower rate mortgages which would increase dramatically if they sold and re-negotiate. They are looking at how houses are still selling for higher than they should, but not realizing that they are the reason why, because of high interest rates, less and less people are willing to sell their house even to downsize, because a smaller house will cost them more than the big house they have now. There's only one example of why they need to start cutting now, because as you say, the data is lagging and the rate of inflation is not showing that, it is outright the wrong data to be looking at, they need to look at why are houses still selling for high prices...because there is no competition and sellers need to sell for more to alleviate the burden of paying more at either renting or buying the next place. Inflation is still too high they say, but they aren't looking at why. Pretty soon they'll be saying like some have been for a while already, "we still need higher for longer and maybe even increase interest rates to fight inflation"...while interest rates being so high compared to inflation and what rates were 2-3 years ago for over a decade, they are more than doubling the cost of interest. On houses back 25 years ago which were 100k$-200k$ you had a big house, the portion of interest on payments is way different than they are today on the same houses which are selling for 500k-750k$. Wages are a false argument as well, so many of the layoffs that occurred over the last 3 years were much higher paid jobs than the new jobs being created today. Even if you're an armchair amateur economist, you should realize that there are far more issues at hand than they are looking at, because it's today that they need to cut to avoid the disasters that will happen 6 to 9 months from now and even further down the road when you talk about mortgage rates/payments, people won't be able to afford their new rates and won't be able to sell because prices will remain so high that no one will want to buy their houses, forcing them to either go bankrupt or go through foreclosure. I can tell you, it's already started and we have listed over 90 days ago now and we only just got our first offer a little over 9 days ago which is on standby for final approval at the buyers' bank. We are suspecting that they may not get it, even though they were prior approved at their bank, things have changed massively at banks, you can't get a mortgage as easily now as you could 3+ years ago. People have barely any savings left, all the regular folks who have jobs and don't make big salaries, some of which are now on unemployment or will soon be if rates don't come down so that small and medium size businesses can survive, because they also have debts with crazy interest rates and that's cutting into the HR budget. Every other country has started to cut. The FED are so afraid to make a mistake that they are making it by waiting for too long. Hope that makes sense to you. It makes total sense to me, they need to start cutting before things get too ugly that even if they cut fast, it won't be for good reasons, whereas if they start now they may be able to avoid havoc.

I think you're saying a steep correction is in the cards (ascending wedge). On the other hand you're saying Apple will be strong over the next 12 months. It's these kind of contradictions that are confusing. Because Apple going up while the S&P is having a steep correction is obviously not going to happen. Please clarify. Thx.

Josh, I’m gonna be real honest here… I had worked really hard overtime to purchase a total of 10 shares of Apple stock. I don’t make a lot of money so it took me about a year or longer and when you mentioned last month that it was not moving and pretty much dead. I went ahead and sold my Apple stock I believe at 164. my average was 140
I did move it into micro strategy. Where I was able to get a full share, which has done really well but now I am totally regretting selling my Apple stock. Do you think it will go back down to 160?
I try to do my homework and I’m a long term investor/ not a swing trader but I’m still learning so I put a lot of trust into what you say to us.
The market is totally crazy. Currently, it's impossible to predict it. We are all waiting for a correction, it is what makes sense now. Nevertheless, it makes new high levels every day.
i understand and i am not surprised that you made that call based on my bearish sentiment, i do want to point out that I have been in aapl calls since I called it a buy at 174, and i re-affirmed it a buy at 180 and 190 and predicted that it would hit 200, all the while I was questioning the long term strength of the move, so i am sure that wasnt clear, thank you for the feedback, ive also had people telling me they made 10's of thousands following my option calls on AAPL over the last 5 weeks

In the case for aapl, is the AI emoji and other small add ons going to be monetized in a meaningful way?.. The only way I see it hitting the bottom line is if the average joe gets the new phone solly due to wanting AI cuz it appears that they arent adding anything other that AI. If the fed doesn't cut the rates in time, that may mess up the bull run cycle, and we may end up topping out a lot sooner without a lot of alts reaching new all-time. highs before the next crypto winter.
After all the fed himself said, high interest rates affect the middle and lower classes more. We may not see that retail money fomo that most alts coins are looking for to reach those all-time highs.
This may be a crappy cycle but a highly explosive 2028 cycle.

But like Josh said, put my stop loss and got out. This market is unpredictable, all he can do is try to interpret the charts 📈
You must not have followed Josh very long. This man has made myself and those of us in the Discord a great deal of money my friend. He is right far more than he is wrong and he’s taught some invaluable lessons . 🤣 i made the call apple was a strong buy and rode it up since low 170s, also confirmed we were going to hit 200+ / i will agree I have been more bearish on aapl but i did say that if they ever got AI going that the narative would change quickly, all i can say is my emphesis may have scarred some aapl investors, but if they followed me carefully, they would not have a missed the run up at all
