@ Thanks and I did ^^ Also one plot thread you might be picking up on is that Cid greatly values diligent hard work, because of what he endured in his previous life. Where he worked as hard as he could every single day his entire life for his dream (think of Zoros *drive* for example), all for it to be for *nothing* as he could never achieve his dream. That's why Cid likes Alexia's fencing style for example, because it shows her concentrated step by step work ethic to become better, which he greatly values, as its what he himself did too despite how pointless it seemed in his previous life. That's also why Cid's death in his previous life is very paradoxical as its both extremely logical and illogical, as there's 2 ways to interpret the scene where he dies 1) As he knows literally everything in the world from researching everything in the world, and perfecting his skills in everything in the world, and he comes to the realization that no matter how much work he puts in and effort, he will *NEVER* achieve his dream. That's why he begins thinking about magic, as with magic he can achieve his dream, but magic doesn't exist, in his world at least. Therefore you can interpret him ending himself as the logical next step, going to the place no one knows of, beyond death, hoping that on the other side, he could achieve his dream, as he has researched everything there is to know in this world and he could never achieve his dream here. 2) This seems like the logical next step then, but another way to look at it too is that Cid reaches his breaking point, and in a way gives up, and just ends it all, with magic being the excuse. That he basically has reached his breaking point, gone insane, and therefore ends himself because his life isn't worth living anymore. I really like this paradoxical nature of Cid's death, as it both seems like the logical next and only step towards his dream, but also clearly that he has gone insane and reached his breaking point over the realization that he will never be able to achieve his dream. From this for example and also further things in the series, you can take away that one of the biggest themes in this series then, is that if you truly work hard, diligently and step by step towards your dream, you will be able to achieve it. We see this through Cid, that he was able to achieve his dream in the end, and through Alexia too who learns to value a step by step hard work ethic. Don't know if you or anyone read all this, but it's one of the coolest things I find about the series tbh
Basically anything Cid lied about in this episode was true with the whole Cult of Diablos he’s just too stupid to realize that it was actually real and not something he made up.
@@visuals_live @ you have no idea how much you just made my day dawg. I’ve checked periodically to see if they added it and every time I did it wasn’t there. Saw your comment and checked again and it was there
@@austinhart5613 I’m glad I could help, I just got out on it, so when I looked and saw both seasons was on there I was happy since it’s not on Crunchyroll!
