I am a Sunni Muslim who attends a Sunni masjid and who has a Sunni teacher who is upon the Hanafi school. Wasn’t there another condition Hassan RA Made that if he wasn’t alive Husayn RA should be Khalifa? I’m afraid this video portrays it as a virtuous decision for Muawiya RA to appoint his son Yazid as leader when Yazid was a known drunkard, who had a pet monkey and who had women dancing for him? Yazid was a tyrant and not suitable for the Khalifa and Husayn was right to oppose him. May Allah be pleased with all the companions of the prophet SAW. The prophet SAW actually cursed Banu Ummaya and in some ways foretold their atrocities committed against the righteous people of that time and upon the family of the prophet peace be upon him.

@@shabaz1187 I wouldn’t say a bad word about Muawiya RA either. He is a companion, there is no use in me saying bad things and he is better than me and you by his status. However, appointing his son when he had an agreement otherwise doesn’t look great at all. But again, he’s a companion and better than me.

I agree. I am also a Sunni from India. All my relatives are barelwis and I studied and I left it. Those five people were not just ordinary people, they were the leaders of that time, they had a huge fan base behind them. I don't understand why salafis try to protect yazid and try to defend Muawiyas r.a. decision. This is one of the reason why I don't call my self a salafi.

(I'm sunni btw) however I have yet to see anyone in our ummah from any 4 main madhab or salafi try to defend yazid. Nor have I seen any of them try to deface the legacy of Hussain AS. If he was indeed a hot-headed warrior type... not a big deal his father was also like that AS one of the greatest fighters in all of Islam as was Zubayr and Talha and Hamza and Jafar and Zayd. Being a hot-headed warrior type is just a personality it makes no one any less Muslim or any less of a good person. Also this narration of 5 people rejecting Yazid is not ONLY 5 people it refers to 5 influential people who we would know. If Abu so and so from Banu Khazraj audibly rejected Yazid but had no status there is not importance to his rejection of Yazid.
@@hamzakhairi4765 Not only that rejection of Yazid (May Allah curse him) would have automatically meant a death penalty. Look at his behaviour after the murder of Husayn RA. His soldiers raped and pillaged the people of Madinah and set fire to the Kaaba.

For example their Imams have divine powers, control of all atoms, they can answer dua in the grave, that Uthman RA removed verses of the Quran, that all but a handful of Sahaba became apostates. Khalid said: Miqdam ibn Madikarib and a man of Banu Asad from the people of Qinnisrin went to Muawiyah ibn Abu Sufyan. Muawiyah said to Miqdam: Do you know that Hasan ibn Ali has died? Miqdam recited the Quranic verse *We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.* Muawiya asked him: Do you think it a calamity? He replied: Why should I not consider it a calamity when it is a fact that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to take him on his lap, saying: This belongs to me and Husayn belongs to Ali? The man of Banu Asad said: (He was) a live coal which Allah has extinguished. Al-Miqdam said: Today I shall continue to make you angry and make you hear what you dislike. He then said: Muawiyah, if I speak the truth, declare me true, and if I tell a lie, declare me false. He said: Do so. He said: I adjure you by Allah, did you hear the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم forbidding use to wear gold? He replied: Yes. He said: I adjure you by Allah, do you know that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم prohibited the wearing of silk? He replied: Yes. He said: I adjure you by Allah, do you know that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم prohibited the wearing of the skins of beasts of prey and riding on them? He said: Yes. He said: I swear by Allah, I saw all this in your house, O Muawiyah. Muawiyah said: I know that I cannot be saved from you, O Miqdam. Khalid said: Muawiyah then ordered to give him what he did not order to give to his two companions, and gave a stipend of two hundred (dirhams) to his son. Miqdam then divided it among his companions, and the man of Banu Asad did not give anything to anyone from the property he received. When Muawiyah was informed about it, he said: Al-Miqdam is a generous man; he has an open hand (for generosity). The man of Banu Asad withholds his things in a good manner.

@@sleepybeary_ sorry if i was rude in my worda but we need to understand that Hassan as was the rightly guided Khalifa and i dont like disunity among Muslims but we need to under the point of view of Hassan as and Hussein as Muawiya ra was a sahabi (companion) but He became Muslim at fateh Makkah as for Prophet SallALLAAHU @laihi wa aalihee wasallam's beautiful grandchildren and their Father Maula Ali as were Companions plus ahle bait from the start and the knowledge and wisdom that they had none of the later Sahabas could have that is the reason that even in the Khilafat of Umar ra.
Sayyidina Umar ra would send senior Sahabas with Later companions to guide them if they had some Mistakes in their judgments we have many examples for that
So when we compare the 2 of them we should never say both of them were right cause that dark history of Muslims happened foe a reason but Understand why Hassan @laihis Salam did what he always did
Thats why there is no need to touch those topics unless Muslims know their own history according to ahadith not the history books

I agree with you, every people 9f knowledge know that Muawiyah was wrong and that al hassan and al hussain were more deserving to be Khalid. Even ibn Zubair deserved it more than Muawiyah. These were not the only 5 in fact the supporters of AL hasan were still alive, he mention those 5 like if they were rebels. I think only people who knows about the topic should talk about it

Muawiyah, under no circumstances, can be respected if you trust in what the Prophet had to say about Ali and Al Hassan. The prophet made it very clear that those 2 are very much superior to Muawiyah ibn Sufyan.

hassan ibn ali a.s didn't offer the peace treatment it was muawiya who offers the peace. an hassan ibn Ali A.S accept it as our prophet said even if it will be a non Muslim if he agreed of peace then accept it even you're not going to get benefit with this peace treat.

It's said that the rightly guided caliphs will rule 30 years. This includes the four first caliphs as well as Hasan ibn 'Ali. After the rule of Hasan, the 30 years are completed. M. consequently is not amongst the rightly guided caliphs.

May God curse Muawiyah and Yazid son Of muawiyah. Only reason Hassan And Hussain gave Bayah to Muawiyah is because the Khilafah will go back to the rightful leadership. Also Khalifat is decreed by God and not something to be voted on or chosen. Use your intellect people and know if Hassan or Hussain don't want to give Bayah to someone that is your clue.! Think Sunnis and stop letting your "Sheikhs " do the thinking for you and brush these very important details under the rug. This is your history you are entitled to direct it and come to conclusions. Instead you are told these are political differences , not the case.

I searched in rabic, and there is not a single authentic saying that He cursed Ali r.a. He even cried to Ali's death.
Also one narration says that people said to him "are you competing with Ali or are you like him?" He answered "No by Allah,I know that he is better than me, but don't you know how injustly they treated Utham? I only ask him to hand me over the killers of Uthan; then I give him the Khilafah"
