- We chose Thermory cladding and decking (ThermoryUSA.com) for our forever home. Drift Platinum and Ignite Dragonskin for the siding, and Kodiak decking. Here's a deep dive into the science that created it, the performance we'll get from it, and installation details.

I love this Corbett. I'm going to link to this in my healthy siding post and upcoming decking post too. It's a great product for those who can afford it.
We looked at it for a deck and it was prohibitively expensive for our purposes. Awesome you were able to use it!
Any insight as to how much it costs? Ideally cost per square foot?
Wow, amazing video. Quite informative on all the building details you met. Kudos!
1) Does it serve any purpose in the mitigation of noise? Or, is the Comfortboard sufficient?
Insane. All these videos are great
3 years later, are you happy with all the thermo treated wood?
It's a great decking product too :)
I've watched most of your home build playlist and I didn't see a video on what you put over the foundation exterior insulation. I see the black material and I'm wondering what it is?
Your videos are super informative. We are thinking of using Thermory on our old farmhouse project. What did you end up using for your soffit material? And more importantly, are you happy with it?
Looks great. I wished you explained why some of the boards don’t line up and leave a big horizontal gaps. You spoke about why the installer wanted to have the boards line up at corners and the boards are 8” wide. I would think that they would be less.
Thank you for promoting quality products. I’d like to use that siding some day. Is the decking not from the same company? Or is it, does it have the same heat and steam treatment? If not why did you choose it? Is the Thermory only good for siding?
It looks like Thermory's Drift product is currently unavailable. They currently have their website stating that a Drift II is coming in 2022. Curious why this is, and how the product is currently holding up.
Composite decking also gets very hot under the sun, which doesn't happen with real wood, and is another reasons you wouldn't want anyone in direct skin contact with it on any hot days... and they still break down over time, so the longevity reason isn't really valid for them...
How has the siding lasted?
What are your thoughts on a make up air system? Do you think it’s necessary when foaming a house for exhaust fans?
Thanks for sharing. What kind of screws did you use to attach you rain screen? Did you use window screen material for your bug screen? Our something specifically made for bug screens? Thanks!
Love this siding. It is so gorgeous and the fact that it's more like a v grrove and less like a lap side does it for me.
Looks like a very nice product. I don't want to flat out ask about price but could you give a rough idea in percentage above quality cedar siding?
Was wondering if you had an update for this siding and how it's held up over the last two years? Also, did you happen to leave an offcut lying around in a puddle for testing?
