Something I wanted to add: For recalibration, Chinese version doesn't allow recalibration of talents on your gear/weapon as well. The gear system works closer toward the first game and skills, where skill power actually dictates how strong your skills is (thus their oxidizers/drones/turrets can one-shot enemies) What's interesting is that paid outfit like Kajika/Dragov sets are free in the Chinese version that you can obtain by clearing floors in the Abyss mode, whereas free cosmetics we unlock from through apparel events actually cost money in the Chinese ver. Legendary missions and strongholds rotate on a weekly basis, so basically you can only play 1 legendary mission and stronghold each week while the others are disabled. Legendary Dark Hour raid replaced the original normal raid, and have new mechanics for the encounters, so its either discovery or legendary raid. They are currently reworking legendary version of Iron Horse. Chinese ver. doesn't have expertise system, instead, they added gear tier system (which currently only has 1 tier), Tier 1 gears has higher stat limit to optimize, and in turn, provide higher gear score. Gears can only upgrade to tier 1 with T1 upgrade blueprint, which may be sold on seasonal vendor (the location where countdown vendor is in the global ver has been replaced with a vendor npc) Modules drops are limited daily and weekly, you can only get 20 per day and in total, only 90 per week. Their Ouros doesn't drop from Incursion, instead, you get St Elmos for completing the Incursion. A must have weapon for all the free players at this point. They also streamlined the matchmaking process by allowing players to post links in the chat, randoms can join by clicking on the link.
7:20 don’t speak on my behalf, seasonal characters is a model for a Diablo, and a dramatic shift from TD2’s design -or any game’s- after so many years is cause for concern.
I'm not speaking on anyones behalf, its simply a what it senario! If we had a seasonal watch it would bring something new and dynamic to the game every season instead we got a reskin of the manhunt and some modifiers that most don't care for and we get to play the same stale game for another 4 months before we do actually get some new content.
It would be cool if Ubi add new weapon class and more appearance things. Chinese version has much more interesting content. It looks so much more fun, than our version
Great vid, really like several options the Chinese version have and the International version can definitely look at adding extra game modes. Hopefully they can look to a hybrid system that can be incorporated.
To really determine which one is better than the other you need to have played the Chinese version yourself. The one thing that I definitely do not like is that they monetize everything but that's typical for China. I like it that they don't have the whole expertise thing, directives and modifiers.

Thanks for the video. very informative. I just noticed something interesting too. the wardrobe options are also seem to be much more liberal compared to Int'l version's gender-neutral often bland collection. there was an agent who was wearing a backless string top. I'm 100% sure that piece doesn't exist in the int'l version. good for them, more nerd-friendly...

I'm stunned. Aside from the pay to win I think I'd prefer to do it the way they are in alot of those instances. And the whole 32 man dz? I have to see how that pans out
It will never ends up like the Chinese version, since the devs are dead set on making Division a tactical shooter and rip away player power whenever possible, even though time and time again been proven their formula just doesn't work.
The international version is getting pretty boring since there are no devs to actually work on it. Running countdown 7 times for tiny optimization is too much. Way too repetitive. I do wanna see new weapons. New game modes. Survival (for us, that's basically Descent). They get the Abyss, and we get Descent. More unique apparel items. More ways to get mats.
Pretty much any build is a complete waste of time, even with everything maxed out to expertise lv 26. You get shredded by the cheats in the DZ. PVE, same spawn points , and so boring, even legendarys, repeat repeat repeat. Struggling to even match make these days. The game is dying or even dead. Players have given up trying in the DZs. The game had so much potential so much. But the cheats are always one step ahead. One minute a team of 4 gets taken out, the next minute 8 players can't even get close to denying a manhunt, the cheats have ruined the game, developers or PS, can't do a thing to stop it.
of course they can, but it's very expensive. The more they do on the client side, the cheaper it is for developer, because they are using resources of the customer. But then it makes cheating much easier
