I’ll start with the positive. I’m a huge Tobey Spidey fan and this is certainly a good figure to have in my collection to represent the Raimi trilogy. It’s not without its flaws though. I know it’s his NWH look but would have preferred the beefier look he had in the OG movies. The eye lenses seem off to me. Not a fan of the unsightly seam on the front of his mask. Surely in 2023/2024 we could find a solution to eliminate that by now? I agree with Riley’s rating of 8/10. It’s a good figure that could and should have been better.
Totally fair man, yea I think the sculpt is solid but the proto was nailed. Still excited to get this piece in to complete the trio! Definitely could have done better on the whole line but it is what it is I suppose 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for watching!
These are called tap out excuses, this figure looks just like an ordinary hot toy release. It’s great with slight drops in quality. Fantastic vid and glad you’re calling this
My biggest issue with this figure is the blue fabric. It’s completely inaccurate to Tobey’s suit. He doesn’t have that rubbery textured fabric like Andrew

On a more positive note, the red and the webbing on the body (excluding the mask) looks really good, like the picture at 10:42 looks absolutely beautiful, like Nick said, the figure looks better than the one in the movie xD. The Tobey Headsculpt looks fine to be, maybe not AS good as the prototype, but good enough imo. Overall 7.5/10!
I was initially not that big on the Tobey Maguire head sculpt, but after a little bit, it did grow on me. I think is just some lighting making it look bad. As far as what Nick was saying about the black suit figure, the way I see it, the figure's build is fine. I don't know what people are complaining about. Plus, the original Hot Toys figure was done the exact same way as the red and blue one for *_Spider-Man 3._* So Hot Toys using the same body for the black suit as the *_No Way Home_* figure is not a surprise to me, and I'm not complaining about it. The original black suit figure also had no symbiote/Venom accessories.
Yea I get what you’re saying, I think the black suit body is wrong though, he’s not big enough in comparison to the film. Judging from how crazy of a fan Nick is I don’t think he’s wrong here. My biggest gripe with the figure as you probably already know bc i made multiple posts on it on Instagram is that it should have the rotating eyes. Like it or not figures that were put up for preorder before October/November 2022 are out of date with the current hot toys design. With that said The headsculpt, suit, & Sandman all look great its a must have especially bc I'm a diehard Tobey fan like yourselves but, i see a Spider-Man 3 red & blue 2.0 coming soon with the rotating eyes. @@Riley.Reviews I think I know why the eyes look weird. If you look at the spider man rami suit from Spider man ps4 game and look closely at the head shape and lenses, it looks like they were inspired from that design
If ya don't like the product, then ya don't need to buy it. Simple as that. I bought the deluxe edition with the Sandman base., too go with the Tom Holland figure and his base.
I think it may also have to do with it being the end of the year and wallets hurting! Collectors gonna skip on things that aren’t absolute perfection nowadays, but you gotta accept you can’t have that ☝️
Fair, I think the stitching and the eye placement are my two biggest gripes. Nothing that’s a deal breaker personally tho, but it should have been better!

Can anyone tell me a general estimate to when sideshow unusually starts sending pre orders out after a figure is realesed? Wovlerine and Tobey are my first preorders so im not sure what to expect
So this is a tricky question because it’s really unpredictable. Some figures will get invoiced as soon as release from hot toys (1-2 weeks of). Others will take 2-3 months. Wolverine may be longer since they spelled the name plate wrong. And I haven’t seen anybody get invoiced for this Spider-Man yet. So these both may take longer then release. I imagine within this or next month. Hope this helped!

Its a repaint of the spider man 3 suit not the NWH suit with this awful mask and thin body. Thats what your gonna get, a string bean, skinny “Black suit” figure that is nowhere near accurate to the movie. But hey its black so thats the only thing it got right
Sculpt definitely dropped off, eyes looked like he has a lazy eye, the mask’s lenses are off centered and the stitching in some of the photos looked like he got bonked on the head. Honestly, I’m probably selling my NWH collection cause there’s no point in just having Andrew and Tom spidey’s. Pretty disappointing

The masked head doesn't look like the proto at all. Eye placement is wrong, and we've ended up with that ugly stitch down the forehead.
