I’m gonna cry my highschool in my country didn’t teach us any of this and now I’m in uni as an international student and I know nothing about how to write a research!!!
Thank you so much I’ve been struggling writing scientific reports and this helped a lot. You have no idea how much you helped me. Your way better than my science teacher. I’m trying to get into a selective school this year and this will help me.
Thank you! I’m using the information for year 5. The teachers told us the experiment is ‘how to make cool ice cream’. I was really weirded out of when they said that. I was very unsure of how to write my report but then i clicked on this video for help! so I’m not talking about the ice-cream (that sounds strange) but I just want to say... thank you for your help!
Hey who ever you are, where ever you at I just wanna thank you sooooooooooooo much! For showing me an easy way to write a scientific report to be honest it has been working perfectly for me. The first time I viewed this I had no idea how to write a scientific report but now I'm a master and I now show other students on how to write a scientific report and to think of it I was always the one who was taught how to write it
What I've covered here is a pretty general guide for a middle school level report. I'd recommend asking your teacher in case there is anything extra you might need to include.
Thanks! I have an assignment due on friday and i have been putting it off so long so i could enjoy my holidays and you really helped me complete it! Could not be any more grateful :)
Yes! And thank you for pointing that out. I had created this after doing some pracs from our textbook in class which has it in present tense so I was in that mindset. You are correct though, it should be in past tense or present perfect tense (using has/have before a verb ending in "ed", e.g. "has boiled").
Thanks Akila. Risk assessments aren't always part of prac reports - often they're actually completed separately. All of the class experiments at school require the teachers to sign completed risk assessments. The risk assessment outlines the potential risks to one's safety (e.g. spilling acid on skin and suffering a chemical burn) and how to prevent or minimise those risks (e.g. wearing appropriate protective equipment such as gloves).
This is created for middle school, and as a science teacher I don't expect that level of detail from this age group. By all means justify your hypothesis - it is after all an "educated" guess so you should have some reason as to why you think a certain outcome will happen. It can also be operationalised, which means that the wording briefly incorporates how the experiment will be carried out.
Hi Bryant, with practical reports at our school the aim informs the reader of the purpose of the experiment, and if the purpose is to develop a solution to a specific problem then that would be stated in the aim and/or hypothesis.
A PhD thesis is way more involved, including additional sections such as an abstract, limitations, etc. Some also now require you to write a 'background' section describing your personal context and your reason for your interest in the topic.

Teacher, Is it important to include HYPOTHESIS in a science report?
Absolutely, hence why I discuss it at 1:26.
I like this video, this guy help me, ha!
Thank you so much this will help, I'm prepping for JMSS a selective science school in Australia and I just wanted to go over things. Tyyyyy
Good luck!
tysm my report is due tmr
Thanks I am in year 8
your intro is epic 👍👌👏
Thank you for this lesson , you have helped me a lot
Helpful Video
Me being in 6th grade when he said high school: 👁👄👁👌
Very nice explanation
Thx. I've used this information 3 times and also, I'm in grade 6.
Thanks bro very impressive
TYSM THIS JUST SAVED ME, I have a science report writing test tmr and I forgot how
So im doing a science fair project (im in 6th grade) is this how I write my report?

This video is so helpful. So simple and great presentation. Thank you!
Thanks man I use this video a lot when doing science and other stuff
THIS SAVED ME FROM MY STRICT TEACHER THANK YOU VERY MUCH
Great video man, helped a lot!
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH
Thanks so much love you 💝☺️☺️☺️🙏
soooooo helpful
Shouldn’t the procedure be in past tense?
Yes! And thank you for pointing that out. I had created this after doing some pracs from our textbook in class which has it in present tense so I was in that mindset. You are correct though, it should be in past tense or present perfect tense (using has/have before a verb ending in "ed", e.g. "has boiled").
Oh ok, thank you for clearing that up for me!
Ok wheres my Year 5s? I only found one of you where are the rest?
thx
nice~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
hii thanks :)
Thank you sooooooo much very very very very helpful better than what my lazy teacher could do 👏 a round of applause 👏 😊
Great Video Mr.Zadow,
You never said anything about the risk assessment.
I'm a little confused on what to do here.
Thanks, Sir, really helpful for the practical report assessment.
love that a high school teacher has an annoying 3D dubstep intro just like every terrible Minecraft UA-camr.
😁
Shouldn’t the prac have justification of hypothesis because in my school the teachers expect that
This is created for middle school, and as a science teacher I don't expect that level of detail from this age group. By all means justify your hypothesis - it is after all an "educated" guess so you should have some reason as to why you think a certain outcome will happen. Excellent
I was assigned this for middle school
This was sooo helpful, thankyou 💜
Thanks a lot! This helped me write my science report with a better understanding. Waiting for the grades😀
How do I present my observations through tables or graphs?
Tables need a title and the columns need to be labelled. Likewise, graphs should also have a title and early labelled x and y axes.
What is the problem statement
Hi Bryant, with practical reports at our school the aim informs the reader of the purpose of the experiment, and if the purpose is to develop a solution to a specific problem then that would be stated in the aim and/or hypothesis.
Bro please make one video on lab report format thanks
at which point do we include the risk assessment?
At our school we don't always include a risk assessment, but when we do it goes after the materials section.
I have difficulty writing the introduction of the lab report :'(
goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood video
This is really helping me and i really love this.
Very helpful video pls carry on with them 😀
Thanks you ขอบคุณสำหรับวิดิโอดีๆ
My teacher showed this to me and this video has alot of signifance while i was performing my class project/experimement
Do these have to be on seprate sheats for each topic
Generally the sections can just come after each other on the page, you don't need a seperate page for each section.
I need to write a scientific report for phd admission plz help me

Thanks it helped me so much with my projects of writing experiments ❤️
THC it really helps me get my integrated science assignment on an experiment done 😘😘😘😘☺
Are you actually a teacher?
Yes, currently teaching years 7 and 9.
Thanks bro for help me to write experiment report 😊👍
Hello there,
would you please tell me how did you calculate the percentages?
Thank you in advance.
Hi! To work out what size the balloons are compared to what you started with = (new size / original size) x 100.
oh my god
hi

hih
hi guys
❤❤❤❤
Who had to watch this cause class
In our country Pakistan we even didn't know how to write it after MS master 18 years education rip
