Hi Lee The castle was built in the early 30s and Rafael Puig Lluvina developed Costa Adeje, invented Playa de las Américas and with his son, Santiago, created all the Parque Santiago complexes... it’s been the family home since the early 60s.

We then walked back, walk that way regularly. It’s long, but lovely. You actually walked past us making a video when you first started doing videos on the island and before we knew who you was. as nice as it is to see holidaymakers there I am so glad to see all the businesses open and trading after what must have been a dreadful couple of years for them.
Last foreign holiday we had was 2019 when after being made redundant and getting an appreciable wedge of cash bunged my way I took the whole family to the Adeje / Las Americas border - such happy memories - Bora Bora was a fave
First went to the Tenerife Sol in 1984 ......on honeymoon...... with the first Mrs Wilson.....ooooeeeerrr

Great vlog, brings back memories of only a few weeks ago, did the walk from coasts Adeje to la caleta on a few occasions. My girlfriend grew up in Tenerife and her parents had the cafe royal and then one of the Irish bars there. We return most years to see friends. The biggest thing for me was getting to know the island from a local perspective and not just a tourist, there are so many cool little beach’s tucked away where mostly the locals go....then there is adeje and the chicken shack, great food and atmosphere. La caleta is definitely worth a visit and if I had the money that’s where I’d live for sure, but I wouldn’t want an apartment or villa, I’d want one of the quirky small houses if you can call them that, around the back edge of la caleta right next to the sea, these have probably been handed down through generations.....I did ask one of the locals if I could buy there’s and they just laughed and said not a chance 😂. Will subscribe to your channel 👍
I only go to canaries for winter sun I hate the winter and get SAD . It boosts me up. I wouldn't go in the summer , Spain is nearer lol
