Thank you Iga! I remember when middle eastern clone brands fist started coming after that signature leather accord in TL. Until then, I was all about Charriol's Royal Leather which was actually done by a rather unknown perfumer. Rasasi ended up nailing it in La Yuqawam, but Lattafa put the final nail in the coffin with Toscano Leather under the Alhambra branding. That Lattafa is one of only 3 clone backup bottles I ever purchased because it was so good and so cheap at the time. Everything I could want in a slightly watered down TL, even though PdM's more refined Godolphin works better on my skin. After that, I quickly became jaded with the accord. 😌 Still layers well, but I prefer the birchy cuir de russie variety now. What an absolute pleasure to see you again. 💙Those eyes never cease to stir my soul. 🌄 Just as your words never cease to intrigue the mind. Hope you're enjoying a comfortable autumn! 🍁
I will be honest, that when it comes to the TL clones I have only tried Yuqawam and i found it pretty close to the original, with the same tanacity and punch. If Cuir Grenat wasn't that ridiculously overpriced for what it actually is (simple, fresh scent with a bit of a twist) I could think of getting a bottle. I find it quite adorably cute. I was pleasantly surpised, because I did,t have any expectations and finding so adorably fresh I was pleasantly surprised. But I will agree, when you think about this brand's almost iconic reputation and the price point, this one can fall a little falt. Noththeless, for its own sak, I find it a very nice, simple fragrance.
