He got to the point where he literally just threw off his best guitar off him that guitar is actually the final proto for his signature Fender Teles just has a smaller head and DiMarzio D-activator pick up in the bridge and I believe he said an Air Norton single coil in the neck. During John's time with Manson I feel like everything clicked and came together that was when Manson was at his absolute best. Theres just something about having an incredibly talented and versatile guitar player thats also a very talented but sadly an under rated song writer composer and producer. During John's time It was like the band took on his attitude of spotlight on the band as a whole only and song always front and center never the individual abd because if that everything clicked. Manson was never better from how the songs were written to how they were recorded to how every song on the set list was performed live to how tight and solid the band was that was Manson' s pinnacle of his career. Now John's gone I dont think it'll ever be close to that again. Zombie scooped him up fast especially afyer he caught wind Axl wanted him as Bucket's replacement. John also finally admitted thay the Welcome To The Jungle instrumental on his solo album The Devil Knows My Name was his way of telling the GNR camp he was interested and basically wanted the job. With Zombie he's appreciated as a musician.
