Excellent video, we've been just about every where and no where can compare with this, never ever get tired of it(been driving this route since I was 18 yrs old, now 82 lol)) I enjoy all your trips from here and there and do not have to be concerned about a nut behind the wheel some where.
.. that is a great ride Brent - luuuv U2 going with it - and the scenery! In Aus our highest mountain (on the mainland) is only 7200ft so there ain't no freeways like that one here ..
One word can only describe such beauty that's seen when you're driving on ANY Interstate like this: MAGNIFICENT!!!!!!!!! Hurry up with the next two videos, Brent- I HUNGER TO SEE MORE!!!!!!!!
Very nice! I can see why you like this stretch of road, looks like a total blast to drive in addition to the natural beauty. The first 2 Minutes looks a lot like the PA Turnpike. Your choice of music worked well too, thumbs up!
Damn, I didn't know UA-cam allowed users to use U2 songs. I had wanted to use "City of Blinding Lights" for my DC street tour but assumed it would be taken down for infringement. That said, this looks likes an amazing stretch of freeway. Well done, Brent!
WOW, loved the video especialy at 6.25 where the mountians start really reminds me of Denver and Rockies looking forward too the rest of the series Great video and a awesome video
I live in the SF Bay Area, so I occasionally make the jaunt to Reno. I love a night drive, but this is my favorite part of a day drive I never, ever tire of it.
Good job Brent and I've only done the eastern portions of I-80 in PA & NJ since it's named as ZH Confair HWY (70 mph portions like 5 fwy and highest point east of the Mississippi at 1,111 feet on I-80) and Bergen-Passaic Expressway (65 mph Max like Roseville Fwy)
Great song! Love the scenery. I would love it if you did Interstate 91 in Vermont northbound going from St. Johnsbury to Canada playing the same song that is played in this video including some captions comparing the elevations of I-91 (VT) and I-80 (CA). Also, I would love it if FreewayBrent added this video- “Interstate 91 (VT)- Through the Snow” going from exits 21-29 and the video ends at the toll booth on the Canadian border.
Great video! In 2004, I drove the stretch of I-80 from Reno to Truckee to visit Donner Memorial State Park. Enjoyed the Sierras and Lake Tahoe areas much more than Reno.
Would absolutely *love* to film out there...but I just haven't had a real reason to go out that way, anytime in the past couple of years. Hopefully soon... :-)
One of your best videos. Truly fantastic. I'd love to drive on that freeway one day. Does the 'trucks use right lane' sign imply that cars are not allowed to use it?
Man California is such a beautiful state, I've dreamed of this particular area so many times without actually being there I really hope the state's economy improves because I still have the hope i can move tho this area, i live in florida and i really like it here with its sunny tropical year-round climate and many nice areas but there is no view here, just grass, grass and more grass with some tress that simulate small hills. California is beautiful!!!
The prettiest part I've ever driven was in Pennsylvania. Everything after Pittsburgh sucks. The furthest I've gone out on I-80 was out to Iowa, and boy was that boring. One of these days I'll make the entire trip and get out to California!!
@Coastergeekperson04 HELL NO!!!!!!!! There is NOTHING like driving on a road, and seeing such beauty; but if you can't get out on the road, you can at least enjoy these lovely "Post Cards". if you will. Just don't make a mess on your self- It doesn't go well with the breath taking scenery.
Oh wow!! What beautiful breathtaking scenery and the best ride yet!! Looking forward to future breathtaking scenic rides!!

I drive a tractor trailer and I drive through here often and I really enjoy the drive indeed

Fantastic. Really interesting to see the snow appear as you rise in elevation.
This is one of the best freeway videos ever. Bring us the last 2 parts dammit!!!!!
Very nice! I can see why you like this stretch of road, looks like a total blast to drive in addition to the natural beauty. The first 2 Minutes looks a lot like the PA Turnpike. Your choice of music worked well too, thumbs up!
I love the snow line on this video I like the scenery too.

Wow, that was breathtaking and amazing. Loved that video. Can't wait to see the Donner video this summer.

excellent. I run the other end of course. Never heard I-80 called a freeway before but that isn't a common term on the east coast. Good job fwb.
I live in the SF Bay Area, so I occasionally make the jaunt to Reno. I love a night drive, but this is my favorite part of a day drive I never, ever tire of it.
What beautiful scenery! I'd love to live there someday, maybe.

The Sierra Nevadas looks pretty with the snow on it

my mom got relatives that live in Sacramento and this is one beautiful section of interstate. Just do it on a clear day for best results.
Thank you for making this video
Beautiful! This is one of those highway videos you wish go on for another 10 minutes or so ;-)
Fascinating view, bro UB

Have you ever considered footage on US 395 through the Sierras?
Is it weird to get extremely excited when I watch these videos?
Interesting little fact: While the Interstate curves are slightly banked, the climbing lane is flat so the trucks won't slide out if the road is icy.
Beautiful
I can tell you every turn on that road; grew up on it.
Have you tried Highway 101 near Morro bay?
where this i-80 take you Mr.Jones LOL nice catch man

Beautiful - It's hard to believe that this road takes you to the other side of the country. Brent are you a trucker???

So beautiful, yet so dangerous, I'm sure
@1:10 Check out those twin railroad trestles. Man, are they high.
