😄That design in the start guide was from Ui-sama! shes an artist that also streams as a vtuber and has made other avatars as well, thats so cool they included that there, i want one now!
Video starts at 1:17:05 btw. I love how simple this interface looks! I think it could really fit in any setup, also I love the feature set, its like a goxlr but with the form factor of something like a wave xlr or audient evo 4.
This device looks fascinating due to the surround support from HDMI inputs. Yamaha had a booth at PAX Australia this weekend (with this device!) so I stopped by and asked them a few questions myself. This may actually end up being the solution I've been trying to find for my audio for the past 8 years. Thanks for the video, otherwise I would have learned about this device too late!
Looks like a good product, ticks a lot of boxes but that 60fps is a deal breaker. Shame they didn’t go for the newer hdmi 2.1 (which could handle the 4k 120fps pass through)
Just to clarify, the yamaha ZG01 can do 120fps even though the manufacturer doesn't mention it. I tested it myself and you can also find videos from Japanese UA-camrs that confirm it.
The connectivity of this audio interface does look amazing, but I do agree that kneecapping the video out at 60Hz and disabling VRR is kind of a deal-breaker for me even though I don't play high framerate competitive games and would LOVE the surround sound passthrough for multiple sources. I primarily play Arma 3, which is an older game but its engine is still heavily CPU dependent due to the absolutely massive environments, active units and simulation computation in game. A solid 60fps would be a dream scenario in an Arma 3 multiplayer session. It's for this reason that having an adaptive sync technology/variable refresh rate is often super beneficial to having a far smoother gaming experience at a lower framerate. So, even though capturing the amazingly cinematic 3D audio in game would be fantastic, I feel like the disabling of VRR could hinder display performance to possibly an unbearable degree. I mean, when 1 CPU core is handling the bulk of rendering in a literal 400 square kilometer terrain with hundreds of AI and 30+ players having a relatively smooth experience when things dip even below 30fps matters a lot.
I'm confused on what you mean by being "limited" to 60FPS. You're still going to get 120FPS or VRR (or both) on the monitor on which you're playing, it's just that the mixer can only output a 60fps signal max to most streaming sites (YT/Twitch/etc.) anyways. You can't broadcast a VRR or even a fixed 120FPS signal online yet. With AV1, that might change, but live signals never output higher than 60fps (50fps in Europe).
Ok so lengthy video but it actually starts at 8:02 for anybody that needs it... Also I'm debating on switching out my goxlr for this as i have nothing but issues with my goxlr since I purchased it...just consistently bugs out and even the led's don't have the proper colors...example white is showing up yellow...worst thing of all, a slight nudge to it knocks out all audio from the goxlr forcing me to restart the software which also sometimes makes me force a pc restart... Definitely wouldn't get the goxlr again.
Yamaha knows audio stuff, and this has that special feature with the surround audio. If they just could fix that last thing with the framerate. Then this device is really ready for the current generation of consoles.
Something that seems be overlooked, at least to me anyways. Is older gamers. I was a gaming machine in my 20's. Had to take a long break and now I'm 55 trying to get back into it. I know how important sound ques (?) are, but I'm just not hearing them as well.
DUDE, I have been using your stream beats music for like 4 months now and never knew it was you!?!?!? thats insane man! ummm im on my laptop so idk if i can use emojis but lets see.
I own this device, and I'm curious - is there any way I could use it for Xbox parties using the aux port? I've tried with a standard TRRS cable, but didn't quite work out. I'm wondering if there's a way to make it work, maybe with attenuators and other equipment? Don't really want to buy the bits and pieces if it's a list cause though.
I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!! I know audio is more important than video, but I don't know what to invest in next. Goxlr for audio or Sony a7sii for video. HELP!!
Do I need to run my video through it though? Could really care less about surround sound. Just want a good mixer to plug headphone and mic into to stream
How does this work to use your mic on the console? How does the mic audio return to the console? It can't go through the HDMI backwards so I'm guessing this doesn't work well with a console in that regard... Can you hook this up via USB to an Xbox Series X?
Mixer looks pretty cool, I might get it if I dont win it, im also planning on upgrading from capsule to wave dx because the nzxt capsule is that great with its capabilities
maybe im a but late to the party but i just noticed M-Audio dropped the M-Game mixer last month. could it possibly be as good as the goxlr or similar devices. Id be interested to hear your thoughts on this Harris
thanks for the great guide! i am going to build a new pc, i will buy a speaker (ilound mtm) ,my friend said interface and subutitute the sound card, what should i buy in order to use the speakers for gaming and listen to classical music?
Is there a different spot to get Streambeats' latest albums? I don't use Spotify, I don't want to use Spotify. I use UA-cam music, but the albums there are super outdated. I would love to use the latest albums, but not gonna go through the change in music platform for a few songs.
I'm thinking about getting one of these, or should i get a goxlr mini for half the price? I play competitive games and stream only pc games but i also want to have fun buttons too when I want to troll:/
🤯 jumped down the rabbit hole after finding your blue sona video and now I'm watching all your audio related videos. Need an affordable audio interface for the blue sona, do you know if the goxlr mini would work?
🤙Man what a dealbreaker with that HDMI through output, but besides that a great device. Is it even possible to upgrade the f/w to support higher framerates or is it a pure HW limitation? Especially at $299
funny story, I use to have a bunch of avb ness top buy whatever, i am now stuck with the more cheapest stuff lmao I bought a mic off line right pretty cheap SOld it then the guy that bought it Relisted it said " owned by " Tequila and Tacos " sold for more money and it was a very cereal feeling

😲 yoooo that is Shigure Ui on the cover, a famous pro illustrator and VTuber from Japan! I kind of want this thing just for that
Love seeing Shigure Ui on the start guide, a significant figure in the Japanese streaming scene.
😄That design in the start guide was from Ui-sama! shes an artist that also streams as a vtuber and has made other avatars as well, thats so cool they included that there, i want one now!
Thanks for the video and here I am testing my luck on the giveaway
Shigure Ui (pro illustrator, vtuber) on the cover of the manual is funny to me. My interest to this thing rose up.
THIS. cultured man i was looking for this kind of comments!
I was looking for this kind of comments too!!
Great minds think alike
Already ordered, it should be in my shop next week lol

Thanks for time code. Doing the lord's work

never in my life would i have thought that i'd see ui-sama in a senpai gaming video
This thing looks so sleek and has so much functionality, I might treat myself for Christmas coming up soon
That mixer looks awesome. Really love the simple design aesthetic the manufacturers are using nowadays.
Looks like a good product, ticks a lot of boxes but that 60fps is a deal breaker. Shame they didn’t go for the newer hdmi 2.1 (which could handle the 4k 120fps pass through)
agreed
So the games won’t pass 60 fps or people watching you stream will only see it in 60 fps?
Just to clarify, the yamaha ZG01 can do 120fps even though the manufacturer doesn't mention it. I tested it myself and you can also find videos from Japanese UA-camrs that confirm it.
How were you able to do it?
🎉Awesome content always, Harris!! Cool audio interface ❤
i came for ui mama
Same
saem
Came here solely because Shigure Ui was on the manual cover illustration
UI MAMA DETECTED

Would be nice to get my hands on the audio mixer. My 1st gen focusrite scarlett 2i2 is finally kicking the bucket after all these years.
I love all the features, but the only thing i would love to have is a second input for the instruments. Such an oversight on both GoXlr and Yamaha.
Yo! Yo! been following you since 2018. I love your tutorial about masking in OBS
Yamaha fanboy rockin' an AG-06 right now and this is looking like a potential upgrade, great vid!
Came for Shigure Ui on the front cover, ended up in a rabbit hole of your content
would love to see the AG08 as a review since it came out in january 2023 as well as the yamaha gaming headphones YHG01
I just found the latest video to comment that streambeats is the truth and I'm definitely using it starting today!!! Harris you dope for this 🙌🏾
🎉 how is your streaming setup? Mine sucks. But genuinely what specific audio interface to you usually use?
🤣 The start guide looks absolutely adorable!
👀 awesome video ,and just a quick thank you for your videos on stream elements
the yamaha AVR receivers had 2.1/4k120 problems for years, guessing they never really sorted it out based on the choice to cap these at 60
I don't know what this is or what it does. But I'll buy this just for Shigure.
A'ight Yamaha, you win this time.
The anime girl in the start up guide is actually a streamer/Illustrator called Shigure Ui
😮 great review man! Love the edits
I love that start guide.
🔥🔥🔥 awesome mixamp. I wish I could own one. NiCE REVIEW
thanks for everything! I'm always using steambeats when I stream
Ok so lengthy video but it actually starts at 8:02 for anybody that needs it...

Sounds like an awesome product. Can't wait to get my hands on one.
🎉 wicked product man, great review as always
The timing of this video couldn't be better, im looking for XLR mic and mixer for streaming but all the choices are 💸💸💸
My God, I didn't know I'm not subscribed to SG Channel but I'm subscribed to both your other YT channel and Twitter 🤣🤣🤣
I'd really love to know if there's any way to map the mic monitor feature to toggle on/off with one of the preset buttons
DUDE, I have been using your stream beats music for like 4 months now and never knew it was you!?!?!? thats insane man! ummm im on my laptop so idk if i can use emojis but lets see.
Wait.. why is Ui mama AKA Shiguru Ui on the front cover of the start guide? .she sponsored or something?
I own this device, and I'm curious - is there any way I could use it for Xbox parties using the aux port? I've tried with a standard TRRS cable, but didn't quite work out.

🤘🏾Dope Video As Always Bro!!
looks like a great desktop addition. video on the product started at 02:30
Been watching you for years and have learned most of my stream stuff from you, brother!
Ui?
hey bro you might not read this but if you do can you show us if you can use an astro mix amp with the wavelink software simultaneously?
so did they fix the 60 fps with a firmware update?
I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!! I know audio is more important than video, but I don't know what to invest in next. Goxlr for audio or Sony a7sii for video. HELP!!
The thing is that the video never starts, or that's just my internet? 🤔🤔🤔
Where would you plug in the PS5 Elgato chat link to talk to party members?
can we just take a moment to talk about Shigure Ui being the mascot on the start guide
it’s necessary to connect the monitor with hdmi out? or i can just connect my pc to the monitor with display port?
🍆 interesting! I like it. The simple interface and it looks good imo.
Can this be a mixer plug into a tv and apple tv and use a mic for karaoke?
The HDMI out limited at 60fps is a dealbreaker especially at that price point.
Do I need to run my video through it though? Could really care less about surround sound. Just want a good mixer to plug headphone and mic into to stream

I Have a Question. What do i need to Connect the ZG 01 top my Smartphone for streaming with Tik Tok.What cables i need?
😉 always love ur videos and info on product. thanks harris
I'm actually here for the giveaway (and the video, nice video btw)
maybe im a but late to the party but i just noticed M-Audio dropped the M-Game mixer last month. could it possibly be as good as the goxlr or similar devices. Id be interested to hear your thoughts on this Harris
🥐🥐🥐🥐🥐 love the minimalist design Matte black everything !
Im loving this unit but i cant seem to find any tips on eq settings. I am using an mv7x and could use some tips for an eq after the update.
Been hunting for a new interface as previous one broke down on me. This looks very good time to jump to Yamaha and give it a try :o
this or the wave xlr what do we think
💯🖤💯 im searching for a good audiointerface since ever. would love to get this!
thanks for the great guide! i am going to build a new pc, i will buy a speaker (ilound mtm) ,my friend said interface and subutitute the sound card, what should i buy in order to use the speakers for gaming and listen to classical music?
Sweet device. Never had an audio interface with hood be cool to see how it could improve content🎉
☠ You could easily have pushed for an even more dramatic intro! looks like an ultra cool interface!
Is there a different spot to get Streambeats' latest albums? I don't use Spotify, I don't want to use Spotify. I use UA-cam music, but the albums there are super outdated. I would love to use the latest albums, but not gonna go through the change in music platform for a few songs.
💯 appreciate your videos 100% brother!
Can this power an SM7B on its own?
I'm thinking about getting one of these, or should i get a goxlr mini for half the price? I play competitive games and stream only pc games but i also want to have fun buttons too when I want to troll:/
🙃Video starts at 8:02. Great vid, interesting features double gaming and a computer hdmi with a speaker output and better audio mix
Does the 60FPS limit limit YOUR gameplay or does it limit the video output fps? o:
Asking because I thought streams are already limited to 60FPS
This looks pretty rad and the design doesn't seem overwhelming.
Simple interface and some hdmi pass throughs? NGL, i really want one but the price is quite expensive thou.
Great review. Curious - can the ZG01 be added as an input in WaveLink?
🤯 jumped down the rabbit hole after finding your blue sona video and now I'm watching all your audio related videos. Need an affordable audio interface for the blue sona, do you know if the goxlr mini would work?
Great video as always! 🍟
🤙Man what a dealbreaker with that HDMI through output, but besides that a great device. Is it even possible to upgrade the f/w to support higher framerates or is it a pure HW limitation? Especially at $299
4:47 OH MY GOSH NO the Twitter joke 😭😂
🤯 Love the videos and desperately need a new audio interface!
Love the design of this mixer 🙃
Always killer content! Also, this would be amazing 🤩
Hello. i need a interface
funny story, I use to have a bunch of avb ness top buy whatever, i am now stuck with the more cheapest stuff lmao
I bought a mic off line right pretty cheap
SOld it then the guy that bought it
Relisted it said " owned by " Tequila and Tacos "
sold for more money and it was a very cereal feeling
👀 This interface has some really nice features, would love to get something like it
Can you make a review of the Roland bridge cast?
It would be a goxlr killer if it was cheaper and if it had the high framerate pass through but the idea of having Hdmi audio is insane
been watch for year u have been an great help to me thank you
