    Q. In US, aren't you supposed to use a connector with auto closing dual action type? in the video you use a scre-gate carabiner to connect to Anchor point in MEWP.
Thanks for making a wondering traning video. it is awesome and clear.

Thanks for your comment. In most countries where "fall protection" for persons working at heights, is on the radar, there can be numerous jurisdictions that will reccomend, or offer guidance on or even mandate a specific approach or system to be used. "self locking" or "auto locking" karabiner's (connectors) are a great "best practise" as these connectors eliminate a "human error" possibility of not closing correctly or securing the karabiners' locking mechanism after it is latched to the "approved" attachment point. These "self locking karabiner's are not mandated in many locations, so other "approved" types can be used. (but fYI in our organisation we will "prefer" their use, and procurement as older harness/lanyards get replaced.) I reccomend you also take a look at an industry recognised organisations i.e > www.ipaf.org web site and the good guidance you can find there on this topic and many others related to MEWPs (AWPs) safe use. The topic of fall protection is vast, when I talk about it, I usually will be specifically thinking about fall protection in MEWPs; the limitations and idiosyncrasies that relate to MEWPs.

Think about it. It is not correct to tie to the lift platform with a shock absorber lanyard.
There must not be a situation where the operator of the platform could fall outside the platform railing. therefore the operator must be tied with an adjustable lanyard fall prevention rope to the front ring in the full body harness. During the travel of the lifting platform the rope must be taut.
