With all due respect, Jordan Peterson really needs to learn more about Islam and Muslims. At this stage he is not a good advocate of Western values, not an informed opponent of Islamism, and certainly not a great ally to Ex-Muslims.

I like Peterson as a gut feeling , but if you sum up the instances in which he says he has given a lot of thought about a topic for a long time, or have being studied for years another topic, or something has being his main interest for decades, you end up estimating he must be about 570 years old.

No thanks. I see no reason why. I don't believe a god dictated it through an angel to an illiterate man in a cave. It is no more convincing than the origin story of the Book of Mormon. I don't believe an angel appeared to Joseph Smith and revealed the location of buried gold plates with reformed Egyptian characters describing the word of a god. That is no more convincing than three accounts by anonymous authors decades after an event describing the murder of a man with different details about the disappearance of his corpse some claiming it disappeared because he was really a god. I see no reason to believe the stories of a god in the Torah creating earth before the stars.

If you think JP is a very intelligent person then you have clearly never seen a very intelligent person in your life. He is not very intelligent or even intelligent, he has done good analysis in politics (very obvious for those with a minimum of intelligence) on left and far left but that's all. On contrary, he has been talking a lot of nonsense and stupidities since years. It's simple: a "very smart" person would never, NEVER make a video as ridiculous and stupid like the video he just made about islam, never. It's just logical: a "very smart" person will NEVER make a video on a subject that she doesn't know at all, a "very smart" person will do research on the subject in depth for a long time before talk about on video, and JP obviously didn't do that at all. My friends... this video that JP made on islam is literally the ultimate proof that JP is NOT an intelligent person. In comparison, i can guarantee you that AP is a vastly smarter person than JP.

Yeah, everything JP has said lately regarding Islam is so painful to listen to; he sounds so brilliant on just about every other topic, but just when it comes to this he’s been fooled into being a useful idiot for the Dawah-gandists. The poor guy is committed to a position of being a friend to Muslims and reaching out to them, and he will not listen to anyone who tries to tell him that Islam is expansionist and supremacist by nature. I’ve been an ex-Muslims for 2 years maybe and I recently came to terms with the idea that for a large chunk of my childhood and young adult life I was mentally peeping for the war in the end of times and HOW I WOULD TREAT MY SLAVES!!!!! Let that sink in… as a biracial girl I was going though the thoughts that I would be kind to the PEOPLE that would be subservient to me “that’s how Muhammad would to it” kind of thought process. I was worried about how I would preform in BATTLE at the age of like 10, anyone who tells you that Islam doesn’t intend on conquering the entire world is lying or delusional, I was taught the story about the rock and trees at a very young age, and no I wasn’t apart of some fringe group I practiced mainstream Sunni Islam.

Unfortunately 99% of university professors and academics would have the same understanding of Islam as Jordan Peterson. It's wonderful that UA-cam and other platforms exist today so that these ignorant, dangerous beliefs no longer remain unchecked and unchallenged thanks to folk like AP.
I was in a World Religions class in college and we were told Islam considers the USA to be the Great Satan. It didn’t make the religion appealing by any stretch.

he doesn't understand how Christianity reformed Judaism as well. He doesn't understand Christians have a different covenant than the Jews. We don't have to kill witches . we can have tattoos and eat pork. He thinks both religions are ore similar than they are.
That's a problem with scientists and scholars in general. Being an expert in a particular field means your knowledge and expertise ends where your field ends. Sadly, many of our brightest minds are blinded by their pride, and carry on as if their expertise makes them all-knowing. Neil DeGrasse-Tyson is the perfect example of this mentality.
In his own field he is a welcome counterweight, but yes, this is sheer, overreaching hubris. I won’t be throwing the baby out with the bath water but his opinions on theology are worthless.

This is the same issue most Atheists, Agnostics and generalist theists/spiritualists have - they don’t think that people of an particular religion actually believe what their religion and/or scripture says. So they try to reason/rationalise based on their own framework rather that trying to understand and take seriously what the other believes even if they don’t believe it themselves.

I disagree. It depends in what culture you became an atheist. Atheist of the West get their views about Islam from people of the West. An atheist from the Near East will have different views on what religion means. The people of the West think Islam is just a different version of Christianity. Before I decided to get to know Islam better I had the same idea. It is unfair to expect everybody to know everything. We in our society should be able to rely on general knowledge. Since they don't sell pork, non-muslims end up having to go further for a non-halal butcher. As such becoming another reason to move out of muslim areas.

I have been a great fan of Jordan and I watch every episode of Mikhaila's podcast. But I have to say that AP makes a good point here. I didn't quite understand how Jordan can have such an ignorant view on this topic. Also I'm quite worried about how this will go down in the Petersons' camp. I know Mikhaila is very protective of her father. This might feel like a personal attack to them and chances are high they will take on AP.

My two cents: as much as I admire Jordan Peterson’s intellect, I think when it comes to religion, he takes a Jungian approach (in some ways reminding me of the approach of Joseph Campbell as well), which looks at religion in metaphorical terms, not literal. The problem here is the behaviors of a person who follows Islam in a hardcore, aggressive way isn’t metaphorically trying to conquer the world. Their knives, bullets & bombs are all too real.
I think JP's approach to religion is as good as it gets, which is to say, not very good at all.

Peterson talks like as if he hasn't read the new testament. I've noticed that is one of his problems. He says he goes to church but I think it's a catholic church. Catholic churches aren't very good at teaching di=uring services. It's more ritualistic. Orthodox too. Protestants tend to be more informed I find. Many pastors are great teachers of the new testament.

I was looking forward to his podcast with Joe Rogan after he had vanished for a couple of years, and then I saw that he was wearing a tuxedo to the JRE and I just thought it was really weird. It just reminded me of that scene in Step Brothers when they were wearing Tux's to job interviews, but one of the jobs was like a janitor position. Then he started talking about all of this religious stuff on the podcast and I just thought, "Yeah, I'm not listening to this shit.". Then a month or so later I saw a video of him crying about some liberal professor telling his students that they should all buy electric cars or something like that, and I mean he was literally crying, I'm not even joking. It's all just really odd, so I haven't listened to him since.

This video will bring you lots of views. Good choice to answer to peterson. I respect him a lot, but I think he's been abusing his influence lately. It is becoming more and more obvious that he is a fundamentalist Christian. He wants religious people ("people of the book") to fight ideologically against the cultural Marxists ("atheists") he doesn't want to accept the concept of atheism not being equal to satanism or not a synonym of lack of morality. I think it's a shame that such intelligent and well read man can be completely deluded when it comes to religion (I would say the same about Ben shapiro, to name just a few). I agree with many things peterson fights against (wokism and postmodernism in general, which are a gangrene to our society) but his religious side is becoming more and more obvious and I'm already fed up with it. Also with his pretentious way to talk over people. In a debate he really takes up most of the speaking time. He loves hearing himself talk. But he clearly knows nothing about Islam.

Exactly...At least twice in his video,he talked about "Luciferian" and " people of the book"...Also,in a previous video I watched,he was seen saying "this woman is unattractive,I dont find her attractive" with regards to a plus size model on top of a magazine...He also mentioned that he thinks whenever a person is fat,you should say it to their face...I mean,as if the fat person cannot see for himself...When asked about what advice he gives to his son and daughter,he said he treats both differently,which is fair enough,but he has very Christian thoughts about how he thinks his daughter should become a mother and advises her regarding that...I mean, for an intellectual of his level,I never thought he would say this..I think the decision of motherhood etc should be left with the woman...Also,some very skewed views on Gender Identity...

Jordan Peterson is not Christian. He himself never directly addresses it, but recently his daughter has said he is not Christian in her video with AP.

when i saw Dr. Peterson's message, i said good luck with that as the hatred is deeply embedded in the quran, hadith and sunnah. Recently in Malaysia, a food rider was fined RM50k for blasphemy and a stand up comedy with her boyfriend were charged in court for blasphemy as well.
Peterson bit off more than he could chew, which is why he had his breakdown. And now he's going to do it again.

I support ex-muslims and I think Peterson’s views on gender roles, childfree people, transgenderism and homosexuality strongly resemble islamic views in all aspects.
He claims to support liberal, individualist, non-collectivist western values.
Why does he want to enforce traditional gender roles? Why does he try to push people into having children when they don’t want to?
Why is he against trans people?
Why does he not support gay marriage?

I was interested in Islam as I felt Christians had given up and the insanity of liberalism has made life feel empty and chaotic, but this has really helped me see the truth about it. This was comprehensive and very informative, thank you for going through all you do to get your message out
