You pretty much nailed it with your interpretation of the meaning within the song. Corporate Pain signifies the idea of rising against money. It's the idea that money is essential to live but, by using that as your only fuel is a very greedy mindset and can ruin friendships and even lives. Money is a powerful thing that has been able to abuse pepole and put them under immense turmoil. And that's pretty much what Goliath has been suffering though in this song. This album is a lot simpler and straightforward lore-wise since it came very early in IRIS' discography so you should have an easier time with these. Regardless, Will Ryan, the guy behind IRIS has said that he intentionally makes his lyrics slightly vauge so that pepole can come up with their own interpretations and meanings for the songs. And I for one really enjoy to see all the different interpretations of what pepole think about the songs and what each one means personally to them. Don't get yourself too caught up with "getting the lore right or wrong", especially with this album. As much as the songs contribute to the lore and tell a story about our protagonist Goliath, they also work as stand-alone songs that criticize real world issues and feelings that can apply to anyone. Anyway, keep up the good work my guy! I've been loving the reactions ❤
Hello again GUR it's been awhile but really don't have a lot to say about this song it's a electronic rock talk of song about corporate self gain and greed, story wise really unknown at this time but here's two more things a should mention one - this song as a single was released before the album did and lyric video two - the thumbnail for your video of your reaction is cover art is fan made keep that in mind Alright see you next reaction which is Cold Man which is a dozey of a song
