Cutting stringers on top of a finished surface is wild.
Thanks for calling me out. I don't suggest that at all. Just got trapped in a bit of a rainstorm that I wasn't prepared for and didn't have my sawhorses on site. Oops! All worked out though.....luckily haha! Thanks for watching.

You can also lay a stringer from home depot on top of a 2x12 and trace it to save yourself the hassle.
One thing I found out when I did mine was my top step was too long because I didn’t need a riser on the top. It looks like he installed fascia on the top after so his was good. But just a heads up if you are putting the stringer directly to your fascia, you need to cut the back of the stringer down by the thickness of a riser
How do you fasten the bottom board if the steps lead straight to the ground?

The most important part…determining the rise was done so fast that it doesn’t make this easy.
With the fascia install are you per timbertech specs suppose to screw and plug that or will that fail over time? Looks great otherwise that was my only question.
Great question. Technically they say not to countersink the screw heads because of the thickness of the fascia but I hate that look so I installed more screws then required and have never had an issue before. Thanks so much for watching.

I know this sounds like a stupid question, but what is your title? In other words, I need to find someone who can do what you just did but don't know what to look for? Can any carpenter do this? Or are you a builder? Who do I look for?
Height is pronounced with a T at the end. Not a TH. You always say height as if it was spelled heighth.

Trust me, I get it. Thanks for the clarity and I'll provide clarity for you as well. I'm dyslexic, which means at a young age when trying to read I always saw height as heigth, which is why I say it like that. I've tried to change but my brain always goes back to how I've always said it since I learned how to say it. Also, not trying to make anyone feel sorry for me, just wanted to provide clarity. I am where I am today is because of my dyslexia, which I truly am grateful for. Gave me many unique challenges at an early age that has helped me later in life. Anyways, hope you can look past the pronunciation. Thanks for watching.
