People keep making judgements of who is winning and who is losing based on previous warfare criteria. As a Combat Vet of Canadian and American Army it baffles me that Russia still uses human wave tactics which I suppose work if you count the 100m or less territory changing hands back and forth each day. I want Ukraine to fight like we do, but that means we must supply them our equipment and get it to them yesterday.

@@SomethingBlonde-oc7sc Surprisingly, all 4 house reps from Iowa have said that if it comes up for a vote, they would vote 'yes' for it. MAGA hasn't got to them yet, so we will see. They are all Republicans....
Our two senators from Iowa are both Republicans and they surprisingly voted YES for this in the senate. Took me by surprise. I was very surprised it passed with 70 YES votes; we had only counted on 67 YES votes so more Republican Senators voted for the bill.

If Speaker Johnson does not bring this up for a vote soon, I heard there is a plan to vote him out as House Speaker. We'll see and it should be interesting what happens.

While i stand with Ukraine as i have Two Ukrainian friends i hold dear. The simple problem here is many Americans ( RFK & Trump supporters) are frustrated with their leaders being more concerned with Support for foreign borders and its funding, while leaving our borders fully open to cartel exploitation.
Now Ukraine funding dollar amount is only at maximum 0.21% of our GDP & at most 5% of our defense budget. And much of it has been over inflated by adding doller amouts to surplus miltary equipment that was already set for decommissioning.
I think most Americans MAGA or not would hardly care, if only the powers at be took care of our serious issues at home properly but they aren't. Hence the outrage. RFK Jr wants to negotiate with putin, just listen to his speeches. This lack of interest is hardly just a right leaning one. Henry Kissinger once said, "Its dangerous to be an American enemy but to be a friend is fatal" For this very reason.
Isolationism is a fools wager & I thought we learned that lesson on December 7th 1941.

I heard that Putin's presidential plane crashed after a mechanical issue due to poor ( well zero) maintenance issues after plummeting from 30,000 feet into remote farmland. The emergency services in Russia were hard pressed to locate and see if any survivors, not least the president himself.
Finally arriving at ground zero they find a local Russian farmer and his machinery in a field strewn with aircraft wreckage .
They ask if he saw the crash and if there are any survivors and enquire as to whether he was aware of the importance of the people on board.
Sadly he informs them there were no survivors and he was doing his duty to bury all of the dead that he found strewn across his field, ten feet deep so news will not get out of the tragedy.
Again they ask if all were dead and if he was aware Putin himself was a passenger on the plane . Yes he confirms all were dead , then he adds , "Putin told me he was okay and unhurt , but he's such a liar I buried him anyway with the rest" 🤣🤣
