Jeff, thank you for the reply. I appreciate it. I am excited to build my 800 and hopefully get one of these this spring. As long as that ESC is not getting too hot I will not worry about it. The flying style would help that as it is not being pushed like a 3D flight so I do believe you. I look forward to seeing the flight times.
Agree with you. I need to detune my 800 as it was a 3D helicopter prior to the conversion. Need to smooth things out and pull back on rates. I'm sure this would help smooth things out.
You can increase the gain for more speed. Just depends on your system. That was only 40% on gain. you can easily go up to 60% with the flick of a switch. Just wanted to let you know.
Nice gimbal mate :-) one day I will get one but need a Trex 800 first lol After watching your video and the closeup of how the arm is put together I can't see any vibration dampers anywhere. I understand that a well balanced helicopter reduces vibrations and also a head speed of between 1600-1800 rpm also reduces vibes as does the weight of a heavy camera so I am left scratching my head as to how vibrations are reduced using this gimbal?
Very nice. I have the 800 waiting for me. I saw one concern....and maybe it is not a big one. Do you get good enough cooling with the ESC hidden where it is? Otherwise I am hooked. I would like one. What flight times do you get? I am looking for the longest possible and do not think the 2 batteries wiill be enough.
hi is it possible to put this gimbal system on Trex 800E pro dfc with the 780 mm blade but not trekker heli? i have the rh03 model not rh01 thanks for your answer.
Anything is possible but the gimbal is designed for the Trekker. So if you feel like you want to modify your 800E Pro you can but you will be doing the modifications to make it work.
Jeff Fassbinder Thank you Jeff do you know the easy way for make this modification? I don't know if Align will build a converting system for adapt the gimbal on the 800 pro dfc maybe some part from the trekker can be adapted on the 800 pro dfc? Thanks again.

I didn't know you work for Align! I met you at your office in Cypress last week. Pretty cool.
Nice video & helicopter Jeff!
Yes, I work for Align Corp. and also Assurance R/C. Good to see you.

ESC is fine. Flight times I need to check with actual flights to see what duration can be achieved.

Very Nice system . Would there be any issues mounting this gimbal on a T18 Octo copter. Besides some custom mounting ? I run the apm 2.6
very cool
Ok nice I want one but where can I get those landing skids and the yellow canopy?? THANKS!!!
Hi Jeff. What are the cameras compatible with the zoom and shuter funcions? Is it going o work with Nikon Ds7100? Thank You.
Right now it is based on the Trekker 800. But anything is possible.

Hi Jeff. Just a quick question: is it possible to operate this system as a single pilot if the gimbal is in Mode 1 (ground attitude fixed)?
What is the maximum payload of the gimbal?
That's a ripoff of the PhotoShip One 3X Pro camera gimbal.
