I don’t know why but despite understanding the physics of how planes like these take off, I still find it hard to believe, every time I see it. Amazing spectacle !
I’ve been on many flights and these are my exact thoughts every single time. I still can’t believe the feat of engineering can do this. It’s crazy how we can fly these huge machines all these distances!
It can be quite frightening having a plane this close flying directly above you! I was in Ramsgate Kent UK a few years ago walking down the High Street, when suddenly a plane suddenly appeared above me and very close; apparently Ramsgate is on the flightpath of one of the London airports!
We take Pilots for granted. After watching this video I have a lot more respect for them and keeping us safe so we can go on our summer holidays 😊 I swear at one point he was coming in sidewards 😅

I have driven close to this airport when a plane was about to land. The traffic lights turn red and the vehicles wait until the plane has flown over the road. As a motorist, you sit there watching as the plane sails literally a few feet above your car. Amazing.
That is by Hatton Cross at Heathrow on the A30 and the traffic lights are not affected by the planes otherwise they would change to red every 2 minutes. The only place in London i know that to happen is West End Road at RAF Northolt.
@michaeldouglas9089 Arrivals at LHR are now one every 60 seconds for much of the morning. Even in 1990, in the morning planes were passing my office window at Kew Bridge every 90 seconds.

The airbus a 380 is a straight-up amazing plane. I was one of the first people to see the plane at a private ceremony before the public got to see it. And let me tell you. This plane is flat out beautiful. Everything about this plane is HUGE!! But most of all, it's a plane with style, grace, and safety all rolled into one giant body. Love you A380s!!!
Pilot: I go to work, and people watch me leave, and when I come back people also watch me. Sometime they even film me and take pictures. I'm like a celebrity. 😊

Nice pilots and crew too. I used to be a passenger service agent for BA. Every time they stepped into the airport, they look like they stepped out of a calender. So beautiful/handsome and so professional. I miss them.

I used to live by ft lauderdale airport, loved lounging by the pool seeing the planes fly over....I saw the blue angels a couple times... something about the sound is just comforting to me..
It's amazing to see, with all the power an airplane has, it is still at the mercy of the air and wind. Just watching that approach is amazing, it looked like it was going sideways at one point.
this brings back memories for me, bcuz this is how low the planes would fly over our house where I used to live in the 80’s! our windows would rattle (bigger the plane, more turbulence.. all the credit to the pilots who fly these masters of aviation!.. 😎
I remember when the Concorde prototypes were still being tested and they would be doing touch and go tests for a couple of hours at a time about three hundred yards from our transport park. We had a clear view of them across the grass . The noise was unbelievable.
I live in London but it's still a bit of a trek out to LHR for me. Last year I did get the bus over there to take some photos at this site, at Myrtle Avenue. Whenever I've seen videos like this it's been full of plane enthusiasts like you see here, but when I visited it was deserted!
Initially I was shocked to see it flying this low in hightitude and then I realised it was landing in the nearby airport.😂 God blesses British Airways 🙏
I was born and raised in Hounslow West, and planes coming in to land at Heathrow flew over our house constantly. When the concord was coming in to land, our dog went nuts a couple of minutes before we could see it! I love planes!

Pueden notar que los aviones bajan de costado para mantener el descenso recto. Fijarse en la no alineación de la trompa con la cola del avión. Y no es por viento cruzado. Esto es debido al movimiento de precesión que domina a objeto en descenso con resistencia de aire. Caso también ala delta, etc etc.

I’m a retired Crash Fire Rescue Fire Chief, the absolute stupidest place to be during Flight Operation is in the Departure End of the Runway and the Approach End of the Runway. Folks a lot of things fall off Aircraft. That happens mostly at the Departure and Arrival areas. I seen Doors, Flap Rollers, Ice, Wheels, Landing Gear, Tools, Biohazards (Poop) and much more drop from all manner of Aircraft. I won’t even talk about entire Aircraft Crashing there. Stay out of those zones off the Runways.
I live near Heathrow airport and people do this all the time. They aren't as close as it looks on camera. And even if the plane fell out the sky at it's closest point, these guys would still be ok. 😂 There are locations where you can stand directly under the flight path, but this isn't one of them.
