banda should've had about 3 assists this game. i think she's the best striker in the world right now. not because of her goals--frankly, i think the one thing she's missing to get to 100% is more consistent good finishing, even though her scoring numbers are INSANE and if smith wins the golden boot instead of banda, it's going to be due to penalties--but because of her ability to create chances out of nothing and create immense goal scoring opportunities for her team mates. she only has 3 assists this season (soph has 6 by comparison, so irrelevant to this convo but oml 15 G/A in 11 games is crazy what a player) but if her teammates were better at scoring it'd be much more. her hold up play is fantastic, her speed is insane, and the way she can turn a loose ball into a very good goal opportunity is pure magic. a bit like mal swanson in that sense, who is also unique for her ability to make a chance for herself out of nothing, but mal isn't as good as creating for others, though i think her finishing is better. anyway, barbra banda amazes me, and zambia BETTER not mess this up and fix things with fifa so they can go to the olympics and also like...schedule matches beforehand???? so they can be ready??? and preferably fire their coach, who deserves to go to jail, not be flown out to paris...that went a bit off topic. i'm SO glad the nwsl has attracted so many international players this year. some have flopped, some have more than defied expectations, but it's all made the league so much fun to watch, and shows why the nwsl will never become a retirement league like the mls. i only wish my team would actually make some moves to get good international players...oh well.

There's been so much media talk that Banda does not pass the ball. Well, today she reacted and passed the ball in the opposition box more than 4 times to her mates who didn't score. Let's allow her to play the game freely if we're to keep winning games.
Banda would have scored those 4 chances she had i think the coach doesn't want her to score, knowing banda she is playing under strict instructions which prevents her on taking personal glory😢
Absolutely disgusting they didn't play the ball out when the keeper was down. Women's teams seem to do this with regularity while the men will touch the ball out for an injured player, especially a goalie.

Not necessarily disagreeing,,, but the GK was back on her feet within 7 seconds. Most of the players probably didn't even notice.
