    As far as i can tell, in practical sources, parallel voltage sources must be the same value to work well and comply with the KVL. If two parallel voltage sources are of different voltages and are connected like that or a single voltage source gets shorted then we either assume there are components in the middle to make it comply with KVL or we assume they are ideal sources. If ideal it is the sum of the two. Correct me if I have badly understand it.

    8:52 what if V1 and V2 aren't equal? Which one should we use in our calculations?

    What would happen if 2 voltage sources of different values are in parallel without any resistance between them? Kindly answer!

      The one on the side will be valid even if it wasn't the larger.

      There are always resistances between them, in the form of internal, although very small, resistances of the power supplies.

      two volage souces should never be connected in parallel otherwise the one with higher emf will discharge into the other
