Firstly, I would like to know for what purpose you are about to create the NOC. And in most cases, YES. Because the producer is also a songwriter and copyright holder of the song that you created. I'll be dropping a video on licensing details really soon on this channel. So Subscribe if you haven't, and you can also visit this link for detailed information about what you own and what the producer owns in the song - www.sirgamma.com/the-ultimate-beat-licensing-guide
@SirGamma thank you so much for the informative video. Could you pls let me know if we need to upload the song and Indian classical notes for music composer copyright . can you please provide the format for the NOC for lyricist/author of the song . many thanks
For composition copyright you can upload either Hindi classical notations or staff notations, both will work. And as far as NOCs are concerned, give me some time, I'll edit this comment and drop a Google drive link with the template.
Sir hum ek gana distribute kiye hai routnote hai aur sab Music platform me aa gaya hai aur UA-cam me tooic channel bhi ban gaya hai topic channel me mera gana dekh rhe to usme music linces me mera naam dikha raha hai gana to hi likhe the lakin beat bantai sir ka tha sabko credit diye the lakin linsec mera dikha rha isme koi court case to nahi hoga na plz replay sir ji 🙏🏻😕
It stands for the whole song. Jo bhi final audio aapne release Kari hai, usme jo bhi cheezein hai which collectively makes that sound recording, collectively vo jo ek track bana rahi hai, vo pura track copyright hota hai
Hello Sir. After all the submission and uploading the MP3 song, Do we have to send all the documents, saved forms by postal to the sub register office ? It’s mentioned in the acknowledgment slip that it’s mandatory to send by postal. I’m little confused right now. So wanted to confirm on this.
Hey! I have been following you for a while now and love all your videos. I wanted to really thank you for sharing all this information. I had one more question. It would be so helpful if you have the time to reply. I wanted to ask that ... in this video you show the process of copyrighting a sound recording. How do we copyright the composition. I understood from the video that we have to choose 'composer' in the nature of applicants interest in the copyright work option ... but what do we choose in class of the work - music or sound recording?
Hi, thank you for the appreciation, it's my pleasure. While copyrighting a musical composition you have to choose 'Music'. And after submitting the application you'll have to submit the staff notation of the composition of the song, or the Indian classical notation, whichever is feasible from your side to prove the composition in a written tangible form.
Composition recordings will copyright the lyrics and composition both. But don't stress on it, once you release a song with original lyrics, that's proof in itself.
A big confusion what if i am a composer, singer, writer & music producer of the song, should i choose sound recording copyright or composition copyright separately paying 500 for composition and 2000 for recording or sound recording cover composition too ?
Sound recording will do the job, but I'll suggest that you register your songs on IPRS, they are India'w only copyright society, and they take ₹1200 one time fee and register your songs free for lifetime. That'll do the best job for independent artists
You need an OAC from all the artists worked in the song that they don't have any objection that you are the owners of the song in which they've also contributed. That's the whole purpose of it
Sir Gamma , if I buy or lease a beat from beatstars and I wrote lyrics and record my song my vocals do I have to put his(producer) name on NOC .

I don't think so. I have received my copyright certificates by submitting the documents on the portal itself as mentioned in the video

Sound recording copyright song k 'Owner' ko karna hota hai. Agar aap owner ho song k to aap kar sakte ho
@@SirGamma main independent artist hu toh main owner hi hua na bhai
If i only want to copyright only for lyrics, should i go for composition category?
Yeah it's also called c line copyright, you'll need to upload the lyrics in a document format
If I’m owner and song is unpublished then do i need noc?
