What a great hike. Those views and the scenery were amazing! I'm glad you made it, Danny. Awesome you saw a moose. Thanks for bringing us along with you guys. 😊😊
Danny your hat might need a little love. 😁 It's definitely a beautiful hike. We visited family in the area a few years ago that introduced us to huckleberries. OMG, soooo good!! Glad you got to see a moose. I was looking for them in the upper north east and didn't see a one. ☹ Beautiful footage!!
That hat is worn out. Lol. He loves it. We loved Glacier. It's an amazing park, with so much to see. We saw multiple moose when we were in the area. It was great. Have a great week. 😊
Thats a beautiful park. We have always enjoyed visiting there. Winters coming and it sounds like it's time to just go get that hip fixed so you can enjoy next summer.
It’s great to see that you finished. Sorry about the injury. I know you enjoy hiking. It’s great physical activity. You’ll be back out there soon. The scenery was amazing. You two always show a great adventure and awesome scenic views.
Glad you use poles cause that’ll help support your hip. Understand you wanting to give it a try. It is so pretty. Bet you’ll be ready to take hikes after the surgery. Lynn will struggle to keep up with you. 😂😂. Huckleberries growing wild in the trail. So cool. I understand that’s the only way to grow them. Good to know about the fishing license. Look at that bull moose. Cool. Yes, we picked salmon berries. They are really big and good in Alaska. You MADE it. Congrats.
The poles definitely help. I did not know they grew in alaska. That's another reason to make that trip. 😁 Danny actually has his surgery scheduled for this coming monday. We got ready for it to be over and him to be back to normal. Thanks so much for joining us. 😊🥰
Great adventure that looked like a fantastic hike and beautiful. So sorry about the Hip I have heard you will be so happy once you recover from the surgery you will be one happy camper! The views on this hike were great and the berries sounded perfect! Great berry advice and tips. Wow the filming of the moose was great that looked like a very nice day! Enjoyed it very much!
We are already missing being in Glacier. Danny actually had his hip replacement today and is doing great so far. I want him to be ready to hike next summer. 😁 Thanks for joining us and have a great week. 😊
Wish him the best and a fast recovery!! My father in law had both of his knees done and our daughter had to get knee surgery and everyone is doing great. Just stick to that physical therapy and do your exercises. It's amazing what they can do for us now. Hope we see u on a hike next summer!!
Gorgeous gorgeous hike! First time I ever heard of salmon berries was in Alaska. Oh Danny, I was hurting watching you at the end. My husband has had both of his hips replaced and now we hike all the time and he does great! Hope you get yours feeling better.
This is the first time we have ever heard of salmon berries. This was danny's favorite hike. He was really hurting there at the end but made it. His hip surgery is scheduled for this coming Monday. Hopefully, he will be as good as new. Have a great day.
Lovely Hike. Well done Danny. I have lower back pain from an old sports injury. There is a chance an op would paralyse me so I am not even thinking about it. If there is no danger go get your surgery. We will be waiting to see you run round the hikes when you are done. Take care and stay safe.
Kudos to you for pushing forward through the pain. I feel you. Smokies hiking has been rough on me the last 2 years. Every year i say I'll get knee replacement next year but then i put it off another year. My back.. well I think that can be fixed
We love hiking the Smokies! This was at the top of his list to complete while we were there. Now that we are back, his surgery is set for next Monday. I have to get him ready for next summer. Don't wait too long for that knee. Have a great week. 😊
@@RVAmerica Knee held up pretty good this trip but I dehydrated with about 2 miles to go to the LeConte Lodge and it was miserable...lol.. walk 30 steps and rest. I relate.. Keep us posted on that hip. Hope all goes really great
Texas State Parks have the same deal with fishing inside the parks. That water looked so blue or maybe turquoise. Beautiful time lapse at the end. I hope Danny's hip is feeling better he didn't look good.
I didn't know that about Texas. That's great. The water was beautiful. He is actually having a hip replacement on Monday. Hopefully, he can feel better soon. Thanks for joining us. 😊
Ouch Danny. Wow you made it. I had some serious back issues in 2019 when I finally got to take Pearl to Germany, Spain, and Japan. Definitely know what it is like to power through it for the adventure.
That's exactly how he did. Did you get your back fixed? Or how did you correct the issue?? Danny is having a hip replacement this coming monday. Hopefully after that he will get back to his normal wife. Have a great week.
@@RVAmerica I hope the surgery went well. I had some kind of minor surgery where they removed some stuff around the nerve channel. Doing great after that. Like I never had that problem.
This was one hike I wanted to do last year but bears was high in the area. Also, it still had snow in the area, at the end of July. So it was closed down. The only way to see Grinnell is from the Highline trail. That part of the hike was a no for me. I had to catch the bus back. If I drove in the park at 5:30am, I would have got a parking spot. Hopefully next time I visit Glacier National Park, I will have my passport and be in better shape.
So this was the lake and not the Glacier. We did not make it to the Glacier. We should have gone the extra when we did the Highline Trial, but just didn't have it in us. That trail was both amazing and exhausting. We really hope to do the Glacier thennext time we are there. Don't you just love this park! Thanks for joining us. Merry Christmas 🎅
Must be an age thing 🤔, seems like the younger generation most likely wouldn't push through the pain, I'm not saying but I'm just saying. Next time just sit down into the glacier lake and take a cryotherapy bath, works on the inflammation, I know bone on bone but I'm sure there was some inflammation. Love that you still pushed through, way to go.
@@RVAmerica no on the hips, but former construction and basically being a work horse most of my life, mainly my shoulders and knees for me. But I find when I take a shower or sit in a bath, the colder the better I feel. Hot water causes more inflammation. I'll be praying for you both and your family.
Not that I know of in Glacier. You can ride the going to the sun road on your ebike, but it looks dangerous. The trails are too rugged for any bikes. I'm sorry.
Amazing views 😊 that must hurt like heck to hike that far on a bad hip.
He really wanted to see the lake. It was totally worth it. Have a great week. 😊
