I’ve been living in Bogota for the last thirteen years, and despite of it being a very chaotic city I’m surprised to see how people in their majority seems to be following orders to the dot! let’s hope we can all soon return to our lives.
MARIA JOKAN The lockdown will be in full effect nationally starting today at 24:00 hours until april 19th for those of us not within the age group with the most risk of getting severly ill from the disease. But will go all the way to may 30th for people over 70 years old. A strategy is been formulated so that people can get out of their homes in small numbers to do grocery shopping and get all of the basic stuff, but they have not yet given any specific instructions as to how that is going to work. Hope that helps!
"As a Filipino, I'm so proud for Colombia and Peru because people know how to listen and follow instructions while my most of my fellow Filipinos are hard headed and dumb when it comes on carrying situations like these..."
Hey there US people, just wanted to remind you that America is a continent (actually formed by North, Central and South America), not a nation. Xoxo stay home and be kind. (Talking to "incinerate them" guy)
We Colombians demanded this measures because we already saw what happened in Italy and Spain, also colombian scientists asked the president to put the country under lockdown. Latin America was lucky, we had time to prepare and learn from Europe's experience. I'm just worried for Brazil and the U.S, their presidents are not taking precautions.
Colombian goverment does not care about it´s people, it actually gives a damn. That´s why the airport was not closed on time. What happens is that compared to Trump anyyone is more human but do not cheat your self, our sub-president was elected with narco´s money.
Considering that all my mom's side of the family live in Bogota, this makes me rest more at ease knowing that they will be more safe from this disease. It almost makes me think that my mom and one of my aunts here in the states may have actually been more safe if they were in Colombia. I see too many people around where I live not taking this pandemic seriously enough.
This time it really seems that Colombia is way ahead of usa and Europe. Lesson learned from watching how the endgame resulted in China, Italy, spain.....while europe /usa still are discussing if they shutting down or how much will it cost.
Si es horrible estar todo el tiempo en casa y si somos muy sociables pero hay que acatar las ordenes del Gobierno y por nuestro bien alejarnos un tiempo largo de la vida social.

@@jonathansanabria6490 well, it clearly says she talked to people and her city via facebook in her house. Facebook does not transmit the virus neither does sitting in your house! Unless she has was sitting next to an ill person in the same room.
Good luck Colombia...fighting!

Well done Colombia.
This is the best thing we can do , because the death toll would be absolutely insane with our health care system.
Come on colombia,we can❤️
Meanwhile Americans on the beach 😂
They have been chased off the beaches hey!
@@jethrojackson9211 Now they are headed home, all over America after days of partying and avoiding social distancing, in a big way.

this is great proactiveness right there.. really kudos for a government that cares about its people unlike its"incredible" neighbour in the North

It's good to know that people are listening. Gives me some relief since my family lives there.
No no, this is going up to April the 13th
Do you mean it will be fine on 14 April?

Meanwhile, here in the states, we do absolutely nothing.
That’s literally just not true
Yeah like what are you talking about man? He national guard is being called upon for help 😂😂 what do you mean we’re doing absolutely nothing?
Dario elodie was talking to OP not you bro. didn’t mention you at all haha
It's hard. South americans are very social people.

@Darioinside a club, how's that outside? Who goes to clubs? Lol

you will have to settle for sticking your head out of the door (or window) and pretending like you are outside ... like a kids' game, eh?
Well, now you will have to stay inside.

Why is the Major wasting ,already globally short in supply, surgical masks when she is in her home?
She was near another confirmed case. It was responsible to use the mask, she could be infected. Talk about what you know, don't be so ignorant

She was in touch with a governor that tested positive for covid19. She was tested herself last night.
Because she was close to a confirmed case and she lives with her wife, so it was absolutely necessary for her.
