I like the sights on the Berthier, the quick reload, and the ability to take two ammo types. It's probably my favourite of the long ammo repeating rifles to use.
With the inciendary amo actually being usefull in PVP now I feel it has gotten a lot better

Berthier sights are amazing. Accompany that with the minimal idle sway and the fast cycle rate you have quite a nice rifle.
I am french and I have an easier time understanding Rachta than James.

I'm a fan of the lebels sights, but I kind of wish they had the single load feature it had in real life. You can essentially turn it into a single fire bolt action rifle by disabling the cartridge elevator with a button/switch on the rifle. This let you avoid having to reload the entire tube in most scenarios, while still allowing you to re-enable the feed mechanism in situations where you needed to more rapidly fire the gun. I wonder if they thought about introducing that as a variant of the gun.
Reloading that entire 10 round tube mag is the worst part of the gun by far.
Crytek could add that for the krag as well since it has a magazine cut off irl.
You can sort of do that already.
Just reload right after each shot. If you don't let go of the LMB after clicking, you won't cycle the bolt.
I usually hold R right after clicking to not miss the reload window.
@@zebratul I tried practicing it, but it's kinda awkward holding the LMB. I'd prefer if you could toggle it.
I am definitely a bit weird when it comes to the iron sights in the game. All my friends rave about mosin sights, but I love my clunky level sights.

I love the lebel feeling. Just so perfect, seem's clunky and comfy. But the ammo are a pain in the ass
Not anymore. 1.13 changes the ammo loot to a constant number for the different ammo types each.
to me the lebel is the perfect rifle for long ammo! clean sight, big magasine for many shots before reloading and almost no "wiggling" while aiming👌
Gotta admit, I won't be missing how peoeple can spam weapons currently. Long ammo players won't be able to just walllbang you for 15 minutes straight :P
I like the berthier a lot bc it's affordable compared to other long arms and you can [somewhat] quickly swap between normal and special ammo w/o bulletgrubber

The lebel sights take up more space than they leave room to see what you're shooting at. Love the berthier tho.

Berthier is my favorite rifle in this game. A close second is the Martini Henry Ironside. I think it's just the irons and the quick reloads from empty. I tend to take precise shots instead of being aggressive, so I don't mind the capacity.

Berthier is up there with my fav long ammo guns. Nice sights, sounds awesome, good muzzle velo. I am surprised you don't jive with it. Thanks for sharing this though, we all have our favs and least fav weapons!
The Lebel is my go to weapon, im very accurate with it on long en medium range. It deserves more love ! I combine it most of the time with caldwell conversion with bleed ammo ;) Have a great day today Hunters!!
The first clip is the perfect example why I take a lebel aperture every time over the standard.
Seems like Lebel will suffer the least to the ammo resupply changes
It is actually completely unaffected since it always only got 2rds from resupply. All other long ammo rifles have been nerfed to the lebel’s level
This is me with the Mosin. Everyone always talks about how it's such a strong weapon but I can NEVER hit my shots with it for some reason. The Berthier is my bread and butter

Crazy to think we dislike long ammo bois, but I was the same way until i forced myself to use lebel to unlock marksman once I got zorngeist off black market xD
I feel like Im trash with a lot of the long ammo options for whatever reason i just cant seem to land shots. Except with the Bertheir. Not sure what it is about that specific long ammo gun but i love it over all the others. Krag is close second for the reload speed alone but Bertheir is personal fave.

I hate to say this Rachta, but I‘m like solid 4 stars at the moment and whenever I even try to go near the plateau of Pelican Island tower, I‘m getting sniped almost instantly even when moving. How the hell are you not getting popped in these spots in that MMR? Oo
I dislike the Lebel for its piss poor ammo pool only. But the Berthier sounds amazing and is easy to use, it was instant love

Berthier and Martini are bane of my existence. I literally aim at stationary head, click and it's complete miss... I have less isue landing crossbow bolt or an arrow against perpendicular sprinting target at 70m than making actual kills happen with either of these two rifles... either complete misses or just hitmark gallore with no followup 😂

pple say slugs r op, not really as u saw on the last clip, pretty sure if he had buck shot his gun wouldve hit him even while he was blinded but since he only had slugs those wouldve maybe killed him but more likely hit his arm and miss lol, bucks shot up close 15 meters> slugs cuz we have hip fire value while slugs have to aim down sight and hope they can aim quick enough to chest or head or else theyll hit an arm while hip fire we can track ur chest easily
Not liking the Lebel, eh. Can't relate. It's my favorite rifle. Accurate, powerful and the Iron sights feels like it was specifically designed just for me. Helps me do plays I couldn't with other rifles. It also look damn sexy. Seriously who needs a mosin?
Lebel is a big oof to use, nice gun but the sights and the ammo just let it down big time. Doesn't help that they added the berthier and the Krag both of which are superior in the sight picture department. I wouldn't mind if they buffed the Lebel reload time just a little
I hear a lot of bad reviews on the lebel because of its iron sights but man I am the most accurate with them using the lebel than anything else
“I hate this rifle” tries to shoot headshots at several hundred meters with iron sights.
Context matters tho - same player has no issues landing headshots with ironsights on Mosin or Krag at that distance consistently. I personally fucking hate Berthier - when it came up on event questline I've died inside a little... struggled with it way more than I'm willing to admit as 5-6 star player... It looks soooo good on paper but I just can't use it. Idk what it is about it. My friend can't do anything with Martini but will blow your head up consistently with FMJ silenced Vetterli (ABYSMAL muzzle velocity at 250m/s). I have same issue with Bornheim - can't hit broadside of the barn, but will demolish you with Nagant or Spitfire.

I'll say it once, I'll say it again. The Martini Henry is, in my opinion, the best long ammo rifle on the game.
It's not the best in terms of performance but it's the most fun to use for sure.

What does it have to do with being cheap, they're lying around everywhere on the floor next to dead hunters once you're done, never shot, only dropped once.

Berthier for me is a head popping machine (and I'm not even close to be considered an average player)... Idk why but everytime I play with Berthier I get the most BS Head Shots in my gameplays...

I can't even land a headshot on stationary target with it, the ironsights just deceive me
but I will consistently land same shot with bow and arrow which travels at like 1/4th speed and significant projectile dropoff... 🤷🏻

@@jayevergreen6178 there is a reshade cheat that stops people being flashed now so flash bombs being unreliable probably has been effected by this.
@@jayevergreen6178 Yeah flash bombs are the most boring part of hunt and we been trying to get it nerfed/reworked for a while, but its not anywhere close atm.

@@RachtaZ will you do a video on the reshade cheats then? You can literally see through fog and night with perfect clarity and get an auto zoom. It also can remove foliage. Its really bad.
