I'll get this to help the kids. At my age (78) I have had a wonderful and blessed career as an actor in film and TV, and as a studio musician before all that started. People helped me as a lad, so this looks like a great way to "pay it forward."
If you haven’t checked it out yet or just didn’t know, there’s a great project out there called Pianobook by Christian Henson of Spitfire. Mostly requires the free version of Kontakt but all the piano are free. Some amazing options of there!
I’m picking this up. I mainly write and produce pop music but I love these foley-esque “found sounds” in my work. I use a lot of synths, a lot of electronic drums etc so layering these organic sounds makes everything feel more, well, organic. I already have ideas for the keyboard clicks haha
Yay Sandy's keyboard! Someday there needs to be a video of him painstakingly taking apart, cleaning, repairing, and reassembling the vintage keyboards because he's been deep in the vintage keyboard rabbit hole for like a year now. As his partner I can promise you our apartment is filled with the most satisfying click clack click clack
This piano sounds great for anything jazz, rock, pop because indeed, Yamahas cut so nicely through mixes. It is indeed difficult to get a mellow piano to sound more bright and defined. Just a note on the "Peter Gabriel" piano sound: add delay and cut some of the lows. If you listen to a song like Red Rain, the CP70 has no lows and mids at all, they have been cut. For 29, this is a steal
This is actually a great tool kit, thanks Paul! Now you can donate $30 to charity and have a great sounding piano with an entire tool kit to back it up. Outstanding!
Super odd reason but I LOVE the sounds like the plastic hangers, latch, and keyboard clicks. Perfect for making something that sounds like the inner workings of a clock! Or anything really. You can mix it to be a very mechanical percussion
What's great about this is the charitable aspect, of course, but it's also fantastic to have so many familiar disparate sounds and textures all in one place. Don't feel like opening SD3 to get a hi-hat sound? No problem! Oh.. and that Yamaha piano is MAGIC. Spitfire has a habit of making the library you "didn't really need" the library you "can't be without".
+1000 points for tying the CP-70 to Peter Gabriel! I’ll be buying this as soon as I get home this evening. Can’t wait to play with these sounds. As someone who doesn’t own Kontakt, I really appreciate these stand-alone libraries.
The special edition will include a "bowl recorded in a flat". Awesome collection. There are 8-10 sounds that on their own would be worth $30. Thanks for sharing.
*Paul Thomson* , thank you for this. Such a nice toolkit, and excellent walkthrough. I like how the synths have an authentic progressive rock vibe, the extras like Sandy's awesome typing keyboard sounds. And the sub bass alone is worth more than the price of this whole library. I've been waiting for a company to release just that sound for just that purpose you described. Great job!
this very generous: all those instruments for 29 € ... and they sound very good ! I like the piano, the guitar, and the computer keybard; spitfire audio is great
I was bored with the piano, about to skip ahead, then you said “Peter Gabriel piano sound” and as soon as you played it, I knew I’d be buying this even though I have too many pianos. Even before adding the chorus effect, it sounds epic. That preset alone is worth the cost of admission for me. You all rock!
Purchased it today just for the piano and it is awesome! How can this be just 29 bucks? Amazing work Paul! This replaced all other piano-libraries for me ;) Except for the Jangle Box Piano.
i love the image of the CP70 high end "struggling against the door to get out". will be using this meme to describe and think about compression now on, thankyou very much. :)
Paul, Paul, Paul... you make it very difficult to NOT purchase this collection. I never thought I'd be inspired by china taps. But that piano!!!!! Amazing!
Stunning sounds yet again 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻, you guys are killing my bank balance, but it’s my birthday month and proceeds go to Blueprint For All - so who cares, happy birthday to me 😎 🥳
When I first started my search for orchestral plug ins, I went to the guys for Albion One, not knowing that, that very library would be my first of many
I think I can safely say, even before buying it and putting it to the test, that this is the most for the money of any VI in history (excepting free ones, obviously). This could have been 3 or 4 Originals and I’d have bought them all.
Finally, the thing that has been missing from my extensive library that I won't know was the final missing piece until I find out what it is in 30 minutes.
So... You are asking me to pay you £29 to listen to you rubbing your trousers? I will do it, but we must NEVER speak of this! 🎹😉😂👍 EDIT: Those pads were very 'Conquest of Paradise' ... Incredible. 🏆
@@thomasmartin7524 Yeah if you want to buy 1, but I for one, want to buy all 13, and in that case it's not 29, but 377EUR... so it would push me to get all if there was an option to buy it a bit cheaper as a bundle, hence the initial question was about a bundle and not a discount on just a single 29EUR library...
@@TheSmkfts even if you buy all of them the originals libraries are all heavily discounted when you consider the quality and more than often amount of sounds (like in this case). Don’t ask for a bundle price just buy them before spitfire start selling them for 60 ;)
I think closest thing you can have something similar to that is either wait for the 40% sale event or avail via student discount for 40%.Waiting to see what promo they will have this BF and Holiday season.
“A fine addition to my collection” -general grevious
The piano alone is worth the price. Very nicely done as usual.
Just what I was thinking!
@@gabrielheiser Same, lol. That is amazing!
Yes and I really like the hi-hat concept!

@@deputydp4461 Yes. I was the "Priest"reading the Bible at the funeral scene.
Buying this twice; one for me, one for my son. He's been trying to find a grand that doesn't require Kontakt. Thanks Paul and the Spitfire team ❤️👍

Steinberg "The Grand" is a great set of pianos. More pricey than this though.
@@jamisonlyman6912 piano book libraries all require the full version of kontakt
@@JoshuaChehov - bummer! I thought I used them before I upgraded. Well, at least this is an amazing option now.
@@jamisonlyman6912 yeah, I believe you can use them on the free version of kontakt but only for 15 minutes then it times out
Quite easily the greatest $29 library on Spitfire Audio. Awesome curation of sounds, I can find or make use of all of them. Keep rocking guys!

Great tool kit, even greater because of the donation to Blueprint for all. Kudos to Spitfire for this!

Man, these all sound really GREAT. Love this instrument. Spitfire continues to impress me.
Love the Hi-Hats. Thanks for the various (useful) sounds in this library.
I'm hoping for some kind of vocal plugin - choir or something like that! :)
Same!
Everyone's been begging for a choir since the first originals came out.
Hey, Spitfire, it's free real estate ;)
The nearest thing is the OPW Pool Project. A great alternative choir library, and very interesting.
What is wrong with the Eric Whitcare choir?

That piano sound. Will buy after broadcast😎

Wow, the quality of that piano patch at $29 is nuts. Just get it for that, then come back and watch the rest of the video.
