The Wilson sisters have been the soul of Heart for many years now. It is because of them that Heart survived the middle 70s,80s, 90s
Ann was a member of the band before they decided on Heart..
All the other members of the band that eventually became Heart were already gone when the name Heart was chosen..
So in a huge and rightful sense Heart is Ann and Nancy Wilson
VINTAGE!!!! Remember this show vividly. The concert opener. Hair doesn't getting bigger!
Damn, back in the good old days when the word "bootleg" meant something. Today, using cell phones where once upon a time we used little cassette recorders and took concert photos with those old Kodak cameras. Memories.
I grew up in the 80's...The best decade of all decades...Seen all the heavys in their prime....It was music back then....unlike the garbage of today...An era of NO TALENT...Lip Sync auto tune Crap....
I always thought that Howard Leese was one of the most underrated guitarists. I'm 46 and have been playing since the age of 12 and he is downright awesome.
Sound of crowd at 1:23 says it all and like they said on VH1's Behind the Music with Heart "AND WHAT A SHOW IT WAS!" I was there in 1985 in Virginia very close to the stage for this tour. I never forgot this concert and never will.
+Davin Dx I was at another of Heart's 1986 tour stops, and I thought Ann & Nancy's entrance during "If Looks Could Kill" was quite spectacular.
+Steve Byrd I saw Heart the first time ever Sept 1985 30 years ago and still never forget that night and the exultation and glory and professionalism Ann Wilson and the band exuded that night. It was the biggest thrill I never experienced. I was awestruck for 30 years now. I wish I got to see them on their 1980 tour.
great stuff i like the note at 401
That tour was straight up amazing! I was front row center in St. Louis...the energy was incredible! They rocked then and still do. My favorite group. Thanks for sharing!
I was at this concert! I still remember them opening up with this song. It was a great performance. It's sad how the band now focuses mostly on their 70's catalog when they tour these days.
I agree. I was introduced to this band via their "Heart" album, like many people in my generation, and it's too bad that they don't consider their 85-90 output more positively. This said - I love the 70s stuff too, and it's true that it has more depth than their late 80s sound. I wish they'd come up with a better balance of eras in their concerts.
Belo registro! Nesta apresentação, em especial, é notável como ela mudou um pouco a forma de interpretar essa maravilhosa composição.
What got Heart noticed and stood them out from any other band in the 70's was the sisters, so Heart is A&N., personally speaking it would be harder to replace Ann than any member they have replaced, but that's my opinion.
Saw them on this tour..awesome
OMG look at the energy from anne and nancy- amazing musicians/artists
Great performance. I saw that show the same year in May in Binghampton, NY. Honeymoon Suite opened for them. I snuck in a camera and was on the floor right at the stage barrier. I have some magazine quality shots of Ann, Nancy, Howard, Mark and the Guys from Honeymoon Suite. Was a great show. Thanks for posting this.
