Thank you!! My 1st TRIP in October 6th 2005!! for one week! It was NOT ENOUGH!! I went back!! December 2005 for 15 days!! For Xmas & New year!! Not enough! Went back for June 25th 2006 for the anniversary!! For 3 WEEKS!! Then back for Youth festivals End of July to August 2006!! & I kept going!! Going!! for more!! For 3 years!! Through 2008!! Why don’t they upgrade this walk up the mountain? I really don’t think it would take away from the sacredness but could be made more. Beautiful and more people especially the elder generation could enjoy the fruits of Our Lady. She truly is OUR PERPETUAL Mother.

We were there last April 22. Climbed at 730am. Serene and peaceful presence with the Lady. Prayed before her crucified Son. Finished two Rosary mysteries. Praying to be invited again to come…..

I see some people walking up barefoot. I liked how the young man going down said “God bless you”, to you. The only way I could do that barefoot is by reflecting on Christ at Calvary. The mental, spiritual, and physical pain He suffered. The abuse, verbal and physical. I think I would be crying as I climb, not because of the rocks on bare feet walking, but because of the love He has for us, and our lack of gratitude. My walk would be done asking for forgiveness. 🙏

Was there on Oct 13 went up the mountain to be at the top for sunrise, anniversary of the miracle of the sun. I only had a key chain flashlight. The path was not lit in that year. I see what looks like lights there now. So interesting how we did it in the near darkness.
Seeing it in the light I can't hardly imagine, praise be to God

Wow, that is ankle twisting! Why don't they build a smooth trail? The town is rolling in money, they can afford it. I am a hiker and backpacker, and would not even risk attempting to hurt myself on that. Blessings to you.
