I think my favorite thing that I've seen from Jonathan Young is his cover of the Pokemon theme song ft. Jason Paige(the original singer of it) Edit: I went and listened to after this reaction and was reminded that it's a metal cover.
I was waiting for this reaction and it was priceless, as always when the Dragon Council are in session! 😄Nice one, Dave. 👍 They all look so menacing with that make up - in fact, Jonathan looked downright terrifying at points! 😵💫 I'm not sure but it sounded to me as if Jonathan was backing Colm in the Old Norse section. Hopefully, if he sees your reaction, he might clarify?
@@tadhggoreyoneill13666 I've only ever heard it from Dave. First time I heard it was when he was reacting to "Misty Mountains" by Jonathan, Colm and Peyton Parrish - it seems to be his go-to description for Jonathan's bass singing collaborations and bass singer collaborations in general. 🙂
@@damianworek4444 I mean you’re not wrong, but I always thought sea shanties were just a Pirate thing, History is my favorite subject so I love learning about new things!, like for example you might think that when Titanic sank that there were a whole lot of stars out and that you could see the ship clearly but in actuality it was a moonless night and you could see the outline of the ship, that’s why survivors said it sank in one piece when we know it really sunk in two pieces, because they couldn’t see the ship clearly.
@@Kamenriderbuster2022 I mean, viking were basicaly pirates right? They sailed out raided and plundered, they did all the stuff pirates did just way earlier than the pirates we usually talk about.
@@Kamenriderbuster2022shanties were used on ships (although not in the Royal Navy) to keep rhythm when doing tasks on the ship. I've never heard of pirates singing shanties (the ones I'm famous with all date from AFTER the Age of Piracy, which was over around 1715).
When I hear this song, the imagery that comes to mind is an army of fallen pirates crawling out of the depths of the sea and summoning an angry ocean god
Great reaction Dave! I'll need to check and confirm that this made it to my playlists! D@mn, I need a cover of this from The Hu now. Who is with me on this?
It’s a running thing on my channel. Anybody who can sing very low bass, I title them “dragon slayers”. If a group of them assemble for a song, it’s a “dragon council”. It’s silly, idk when I started it but it’s a thing so yeah haha.
@@whatitdodave ah I see. I thought it was in reference to some dragon themed song or songs they collaborated to make or something like that. By the way love your reaction videos to stuff like this keep it up

The crazy part about Colm: HE ACTUALLY CAN GO THAT DEEP WITH HIS VOICE 😱😱😆😆
I instantly thought of your reaction when i heared this song the first time
Same here 😃
Wow that’s the most amazing cover of the song I’ve ever heard

My only complaint to this song, it wasn't long enough.
that was straight up icelandic, i could understand most of it (its the elder of icelandic)
Old Norse indeed

I love it when you react to Jonathan's videos.
Man, I love your reactions even though I have never heard the song before but worth it😂
great reaction Dave. I only heard this song from Dan Vasc.
Colm's solo metal version of this in Old Norse is amazing as well
Thank you Dave 😊
Yay another Dave video let's gooooo
My mother told me is a Viking song not a sea shanty
Considering that vikings were famous for their sailing I can see why someone would want to call it a sea shanty.

Not a shanty but a Viking Lullaby.
If this is a lullaby, who is your child? Kratos himself
