This might be a broad question, but you mention "conditioning the fish" quite a few times in your videos. I understand it has to do with cooler water and the fish receiving a different diet, from color food and growth, to more wheat germ based. But can you touch on how you condition your fish very briefly after the growing season?
I don’t use wheat germ food, it’s something I’m not very keen on. Im going to be making a video on it soon so I won’t give much more away for now. The programme always depends on the fish and what they need however.
Surely seeing a koi develop and change is part of the hobbie and enjoyment of keeping koi. Also pattern is very much a personal preference in terms of what is very good.
Hi Iain Thanks for your comment, I agree that pattern preference is personal but there are set criteria and standards that do define the quality especially from a koi show perspective. Personally koi development has always been the most fascinating part of it for me.
