I’m really stoked to go back to Japan, but even more excited to be in a left hand drive e36 touring! My buddy Fausto is getting some work done on the car before hand so when we get there next week we can get dialed and setup! - Авто та транспорт

Will be awesome! I can't wait to get back to driving once Chairslayer actually sells his manual hand controls so I can set up a car. I've been a double leg amputee since 2014 but started drifting in 2005 been driving since 03 and miss my track days but being ex Australian Army my back up to track days is Range Days lol!

@@Joebobinator yeah he's not as active on social media as others but he's busy with his roll cage company and the whole time he's been working on how his manual setup for hand controls that he uses to drift has been going through prototype stages so he can develop a full integration setup for other people with disabilities, I know he's going to eventually release a pre made setup, ive had the opportunity to talk with him multiple times about it.
He also has his 3d scanning company as well so he's a pretty busy guy, love his attitude and work ethic which has inspired me since my accident as well!
@@reanukeevesau I wonder if the "manual" auto conversion that Adam LZ has been working on would work for him. They got the system to behave like a sequential manual with a clutch and everything for the automatic supras and they are working on a system to do the same with the DCT gearboxes. They use a sim racing shifter lever, no reason they couldn't just put it on a thumb switch or any other kind of button.
@@Joebobinator yeah that's the way chairslayer has it setup on a thumb button on the throttle/brake hand control to change gears, runs through a program to hydraulic activate clutch then hydraulic gear change.
The way AdamLZ setup that supra has me interested if I can do a similar setup on any other vehicle just with the a90 supra transmission with dct or I'd get a sequential adapted to hand controls.
The tech advancements over the next few years have me excited for what's going to be possible. Like I use to ride a Honda CBR1000RR and also had a Ducati road bike as well. I've been looking at the Electric road bikes that have been coming out, the fact there's no transmission I need to change gears with my feet since I only have prosthetic legs and feet so it's a bit of a hassle, now the new Electric bikes have all the controls on the handlebars makes it possible for me to ride again!! Just need to convince the road transport authority that I can pass my riding test with it lol!!

another tip for tires like that, let them sit out in the sun for a bit, or at least when it was warmer. they'll expand a bit and you shouldn't have to try to hard to get the bead to sit
I'm stuffed 2x4s or other spacers between the beads and let the tire sit outside in the sun for a few hours and then let it cool down before trying to mount it to spread the beads out. I've even put a heat gun inside the tire with spacers like pieces of wood to spread the tire out

Flip the wheel face down next time and blast it, it puts the bead closer to the taper and makes it easier to seal.

Awesome, Matsuri and E36 touring, that's some sweet different content. I love my E36 320i touring. Also in silver.
With that coats machine specifically having the valve stem right where the cheetah shoots is the best way to air up a floppy tire on a wider wheel.
Bicycle inner tubes around the bead work for me, once the tire catches the bead you just peel them out.

i do this with tyres some time i put a tube in side and put a bit of air in leave over night seat easy
What I do is before I mount the tire I heat the side wall with a little propane torch not crazy hot but enough for some flex then bead it
rachet strap the tire, to get the tire to bulge a little. i feel ya. some tires just SUCK to mount and lift by just the top part of the tread. lifting by the bottom prevents the bottom half from flexing downwards.

For stubborn tyres, inflate a inner tube in the tyre to seat all beads then break one side, pull tube out, fit new valve and should be easy to seat the tyre. ✌️
For hard to bead tyres:
Lube up one bead
Place wheel/tyre onto something that only supports the tyre (placing it inside another larger diameter tyre works great)
Jump up and down on the wheel until one bead seats, or partially seats
Turn the wheel over
Stand on the wheel flexing the tyre until the other bead has no air gap
Blow it onto the bead with your bead blaster or butane
I was there when those guys drove that E36 over crazy stuff. Il be keeping an eye out for the touring at matsuri. From my experience of Jzs i think you might struggle for cooling with that fan. Jzxs all run viscous and 2 electric fans stock and even then can struggle
Race cart tires are hard as hell to seat. So we used a ratchet strap to squeeze it onto the wheel. Awesome vid!
The bike tube trick works amazing for seating those tires.

The trick of using full tall beer cans to stretch the tyre out in the sun for a while I seen it from the Night ride boys and its works only one I had never seen b4 thought it was cool tip if your not in a rush 🤙

Ever try putting a ratchet strap around the tread to push the bead out? Another good method to help get the bead on.

We recently had problems we the stock trans fork was scrapping the clutch on a e36 2jz with the stock bmw transmission ended up getting a Clutch Masters Hydraulic Throw-Out Bearing from drift hq that solve our problem 👌

Tip for tyres that have been at the bottom of the stack is to put a tube in it and let it sit for a while and it’ll be waaayyy easier when you try fitting it. Obviously take tube out aha
That or 2x4 cutouts and the sun lol
Inflate a tube inside the tyre, once seated break 1 side and remove tube, should be easy once 1 side is seated

Obviously I can’t speak for him, but as he mentioned multiple times before, he loves to drift just for fun. Competing on a highest level takes away a lot of the “fun part” from it. I’d love to see him on a big stage again, maybe in DMEC, but it’s great to see him follow his heart in what he does.
@@OOoOski yea. But as a guest driver for 1 round xy or z championship, the pressures and strategies of going for a title don't come into it. Also there are more international comps than just the tipity top end. Or various other countries different grass roots comps.
Just looking for something of his plans other than "do cool stuff" though v much his choice if he wants to share those details.

Trick for those stubborn tires if you don't want to buy the rubber ring is ratchet strap the tire to squish it and take the tire off the machine and hold it vertical

Hell yea I can't wait to see you dooring all the homies at fall Matsuri. You might be the only one out there drifting a BMW. You definitely got the right people on the job to swap in a 1JZ and fix whatever needs fixing. Side X are a bunch of awesome dude's plus they got one hella crew that builds some badass drift cars. Make sure you put a few black zebra stripes on Adam's door. Im saving up all the cheddar I can so i can make a trip to Ebisu. It's at the top of my bucket list

Just use a motorcycle innertube that is one inch smaller than the tire size... I still use starter fluid one of my wheels to not mess up the lip from the valve on the tube. Also Japan opened up October the 11th, we went last year and this year. But I get it if you didn't have all your shots. They changed the dates on when matsuri was suppose to happen last year and it was amazing having Ebisu almost empty and not dealing with fighting for the tire machine. Plan to go in the Spring if you are down.

Try this next time you’re seating beads. Use the cheetah while you put the air hose QD straight from the compressor on the valve stem. I have better luck doing it that then using the choked down air fitting coming off the machine.

Put a ratchet strap around the diameter to compress and make it wider.
If u flip it upside down and blast it with the cheetah that works well I hated doing trailer tires because of that
At the tire shop we would put a air fitting on a hose that is wide open we would put it on the valve steam to max the air flow and use a cheetah 🐆 on stubborn tires like that i did ag and tractors and heavy equipment tires most the time and they can be a bitch

So many name on this Japan trip. It’s going to be great to see all the fun. All the content creators should put there names in a hat n pick one, than you gotta buy say $50 or $100us worth of stuff from up garage that the name u picked has to run on or in there car. Could be funny. Like cover the car in dumb stickers ,bedazzled silly shit everywhere or buy as many air fresheners n fill there car, foot long shift knob. You get what I’m saying.
From a tyre fitter: two man job,why you use the machines blaster have a mate hit it with the cheater at the same time. It’s simple n you don’t need anything that you don’t have on hand.
