Sugata Bose is a professor at Harvard University and a member of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's family. His research focuses on Bengal and the Indian Ocean, and it enjoys international recognition. During a recent visit to Bangladesh, Professor Bose engaged in discussions with the Daily Star on various topics, including the Liberation War of Bangladesh, Partition, recent politics in the subcontinent, the state of Bengali language and literature, and the trends of progress in Asia.
