I love the ghosting technique! Good reminder of where non-permanent inks are useful for!
i had no idea gesso looked so amazing with ghosting!!!!! 😍😍😍
I have oxides and have not pulled them out for a long while. Thank you for reminding how much fun, beautiful and versatile they are …. Gonna go and pull them out now. Love your creations and teaching style! ❤️
OH! Oxides are my favorite (very forgiving) but had no idea I could emboss! Thank you!! 🙂
I like all of these techniques, but my favorite is the smooshing method.
I will be 'ghosting' with my granddaughter this weekend, thank you for sharing your lovely and inspiring art 💖🎨
I never tried embossing, great idea! And I like the ghosting technique. Thanks for the reminders how you can use the oxide! 😍 josette
I really like you always used “happy” colors. I love the smushing technique and I haven’t tried using the oxides on gesso.
Love doing all those techniques.
This is simple and full of awesomeness! You have inspired me - can't wait to watch more of your videos- this was the first one for me. Thank you!!

Embossing ! I just got some. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing. I’m always trying to decide whether I need to prep my surface w/ gesso, so it was good to see the comparison. I want to try the ghosting technique.
I have bought my 1st oxides not long ago, I tried all the techniques and I love them all 🤩🤩🤩

Gesso page, my fav, love the quote..thank you for sharing..😉😉
Beautiful! You make it look so easy!❤️
It does!
I'm going do the smoothed tag!
I like the smushing technique but I want to try the ghosting technique.
Heat embossing I used when I'm making cards but not with art journaling.
I hope this question isn't "too late." I've been binging mixed media videos to try to pick up where I left off prior to 2020 at which time I lost my summer to hospitalization. As someone forced to buy supplies online, rather than in person, as I used to do, can you tell me what made you switch from using mainly "Mustard Seed" as your primary yellow ink to using "Amber Gold?" I'm guessing maybe it's an Oxide vs regular Distress ink availability, but when I looked for samples of the two online, I was lead to believe that the amber gold had a lot more brown undertones, making it more of an ochre color and making me more hesitant to purchase without seeing IRL. If my screen is accurately displaying your creation, that's not true. Can you tell me your preference between the two, i.e. based solely on color richness, would you pick amber gold or mustard seed for a vibrant yellow/gold? Thanks so much and happy crafting!🥰
Love your videos, especially when I can't think what to do! Is a heat tool essential for embossing or could you use a hairdryer?
Hi Cee Bee
Hope you don't mind me answering - a heat tool is essential for heat embossing as a hair dryer isn't hot enough to melt the embossing powder and it would just blow the powder away.
@@ellief3177 oh thank you very much for this🙏. Yes, it's obvious if you think about it - trouble is, I don't always think! 🤔
Allo,j’aime ça il faut que je essaie :) xx
Like them all. I think embossing.
Same here!
very nice- tfs
Embossing!
Well, I liked them all. My backgrounds always turn out so dark. I have to rethink my color choices.
What are the things called that you hang your stencils with?
