PS, Emma is a kindred spirit--I have about 20 WIPS, which is Too Many, even for me. So I have made a plan (after accidentally casting on the Vatna, for which I blame Maggie), to finish up the sweaters (cough, 10, cough). I have lots of socks in progress, which doesn't bother me because I like having socks in all stages of progress so I can grab the perfect one for on-the-go knitting and know that I will eventually finish the pairs. But I know I will get startitis again, so I better get a case of finishupitis asap.

I always enjoy the Shopcast, so many inspirational ideas. I do have most of my summer knitting planned, and try to be a monogamous knitter. I have decided I need to break that rule this summer because I am knitting the black/purple/green Latvian mittens kit and have to do so when the light is right because, well, mostly black yarn on tiny needles and old eyes. This leaves a lot of knit time available for lighter color and larger needle projects. Also, I was surprised to see you feature my version of the Afetos shawl. That was a pleasant surprise. Enjoy your summer break. See you in July.

Love learning about (and seeing-only wish I could touch the yarns, too) your featured woolly yarns from around the world. I ordered two new-to-me yarns during your recent sale and am currently trying out the Rauma Fivel in a Manhattan Hat. I have made several of this pattern for charity, but this hat will probably have to stay with me. The yarn has no prickle factor and has a nice squish due to the loose spin. I am eager to see how the fabric feels after a wet block. I can see more of this yarn in some future garments!

I enjoyed the shopcast, especially the yoga. It was timely. Thank you very much. I’m looking forward to the Sock Sprint, hopefully I’ll complete a pair.

Nice episode! Long ago, I decided that I was too scattered when I took on multiple projects at once. I’d forget where I was or what I was doing and I’d have to learn it all over again. I decided I was *not allowed* to start something before I finished the last one. That has worked really well for me. I can get things finished much faster and better because I don’t lose momentum or concentration or track of the pattern/procedure. The incentive is there because whilst knitting the item, I am constantly reviewing in my head the patterns and the stash I have on hand and thinking of what I will start next.
