the game wont get ruined by bots by much because most people are skillers/green logging bosses or doing raids sure the bots make the game worse but it wont die from it not anytime soon atleast
The event where you pollinate flowers lasts for several minutes. So unless it was a pretty long timer they would probably just switch to doing that one.
I wont play runescape anymore because jagex seems to allow these bots to run the game. I feel like they should be able to make 'parameters' for accounts kinda like not being able to chat if you are a new account. What about a parameter that logs bots/people out of the account if they hop to a world with 200+ accounts and continually. Jagex knows what they are doing and they are making money off of people with bot farms

One would think, but actually that's not the case. See how he used the locator orb on the pile of bots? That only presents a single option per 'player' in the stack. It's easy to test in-game if you don't believe me.
Tinfoil hat theory: I think at this point, one of the main reasons runescape still exists is because it's an elaborate research project & simple datapoint about botting and scripter behavior in MMOs I've watched enough sirpugger video that i'm now excited to see what solutions coders come up with next. it's almost like a public competition
Maybe Jagex needs to think like a botter before releasing something. Could've seen this coming from miles away. People with huge bot farms have like 1k back up accounts or just run an account script and get 100+ accounts in 10 minutes. Other than that it's hard to counter the bots when they just suicide bot everything.
bots ruined this game a long time ago, most new account being made are bots, I stopped playing because partly because of this as the integrity of skilling is gone and feels hollow when a bot can do better than a player, you also get PVP bots that can slap almost as well as a good player so i just feel like what's the point anymore and lastly for the most part the community in game sucks. Full of scammers. Gold selling, account services, other automatic adds, and a player base that seems to have given up
Instead of starting and stopping recording, have you considered keeping a constantly rolling recording of the last 20-30 minutes, deleting it as it records until you press a hotkey to save. Could save you from missing anything at all, I use it all the time with Nvidia Shadowplay but there is likely another option for non-Nvidia
Reported tons of bots yesterday in random worlds around ardougne... Incredibly interesting how fast the bot developers create these scripts after release.
Since your videos about bots really started taking off I never had an osrs Alt. When I played rs2 into rs3 back years ago I had tons of alts, but since maining osrs I had just the main account. Due to you I've made a few alts of various builds to kill wildy bots and it actually turned me into a pvp lover and pker and not too shitty of one after some practice.
i usd to be fully PvM, then quit, I came back to the game with the wildy bosses update, and have tried pking to rebuild. It refreshed my love for the game, trying it in a completely different style. Highly recommend
@SkizVids oh I love the new wildy bosses. Aside from the bots and finding ways to kill them it's good content. I'm looking forward to this so called wildy expansion in the works.
@joseromanfuenmayor4364 lms and just staying to fight pkers. You're going to dye alot but just get into lms for a few weeks and go fight people in the wildy.
This is the kinda thing that makes me think that there needs to be an IP limitation to number of logins to the game. I know VPNs make this complicated, but seriously there's gotta be something like that.
Gentle reminder the rewards are vastly inflated currently as the rewards are very new and jagex have already done a hot fix to weaken this farm I doubt that in the next month there are going to be this many bots
It amazes me that jagex consumed runelite, the most used client in the entire game. and yet they have no bot busting implementation into the client its self. Because theres literally thousands of free player owned camera's ready to be used and detect repeat activity and botting while we're playing the game. If it's obvious to us when we see it, a plugin can be added to also detect it visually. And if for nothing it can at least alert a team of possible bot activity and have them investigate further.
If the only problem was that they overcrowd places, something like this might work. But they adversely affect the economy for everyone everywhere, f2p or p2p.
@sirpugger can you investigate the bots running into phosanis nightmare? some with over 2500 kc no other bosses killed and stats only high enough to unlock the content
Standard, new update, there is bound to be something jagex has missed, someone is bound to pick it apart to find exploits. This is part of RuneScape law
Perhaps events could cap out how many players can gain from it, the obvious grief to that is someone starting it to count to the cap then not doing anything so with that in mind perhaps it could be some fix if its still gonna be random.
just not enough players to remove all bots, dead game if they do, i remember days when soul wars were active in the real runescape, back then they started bot nuked and suddenly you couldn't play this minigame anymore
It would be interesting to see how many bot farms Jagex could catch if they were able to check for groups of accounts that hop worlds at the same time at the same place and then watch those accounts for suspicious activity.
It actually is really impressive how fast they acted. And it shows that combating bots by banning them or making content more annoying to engage with is impossible, as bots get developed and created at a rate that’s impossible to keep up with.
So... I foresee a new bot farm incoming if u do the Crack the clue 3 u get into the varock west bank vault there is a ruby ring that spawns and u don't get kicked from vault so u can switch world and keep grabbing a full invo is like 30k took me 7 mins and u can keep going back just gotta do the emotes to get back into vault so roughly 250k a hr time the number of bots
It’s simple, just stop releasing new content and fix the content that is already available. Focusing on stopping bots is clearly the change the game has always needed but never implemented
Free memberships should only enable a single and excluded server like a fresh new game that won't merge. Ppl would test memb but 0% chance to exploit it.
that twitch prime memebership is the only reason I decided to start runescape last week for the first time. and I liked it enough to continue a subscription. I wouldn't get rid of it if I were Jagex. it's probably how they get a bunch of new and returning players
they could just set a realy high skill requirement to even get these event's or make them be active accounts for 100 hours first. ofcourse they don't it's all about money
Can you investigate potential bot farms on north side of GE - I keep seeing like 3-5 lvl 38-40 combat accounts wearing nothing but a glory and alching... but their stats don't appear on highscores. They are all the base character created when you make a new account, which makes me think bot farm

And by that, I mean click use on an item in your inventory and then mouse over a pile of players with the item selected.
@@fiddlesticks8142 oh okay, that makes sense
Honestly, hats off to the bot makers. Immaculate logistics behind such a project
Tinfoil hat theory: I think at this point, one of the main reasons runescape still exists is because it's an elaborate research project & simple datapoint about botting and scripter behavior in MMOs
I've watched enough sirpugger video that i'm now excited to see what solutions coders come up with next. it's almost like a public competition
More like a great way to RWT.
OBS works great for this too
@@puff7145yeah obs
Dude, how do you train or learn? I am so bad at pk but I want to learn
U’d be surprised how easy it is to automate that process
Why would they not just make events give no rewards if you hope to a world when it's already spawned?
Gentle reminder the rewards are vastly inflated currently as the rewards are very new and jagex have already done a hot fix to weaken this farm I doubt that in the next month there are going to be this many bots
Thank you for your service Pugger♥️
It amazes me that jagex consumed runelite, the most used client in the entire game. and yet they have no bot busting implementation into the client its self. Because theres literally thousands of free player owned camera's ready to be used and detect repeat activity and botting while we're playing the game. If it's obvious to us when we see it, a plugin can be added to also detect it visually. And if for nothing it can at least alert a team of possible bot activity and have them investigate further.
give this man props for pronouncing ardougne correctly
i will always pronounce it how slayermusic pronounces it
Aren't bonds like almost 8-9m?
They could have locked it behind the woodcutting guild this way bots had to get 60 wc and 75 hosidius favour and they would all be in the same place
I bonded my pure from your last revs video. I can say I haven't seen a bot here in a few days.
these bots are unstoppable at this point lol
There are bots at wilderness bosses/revs even :*(
Definitely stoppable. They just don’t stop them.
If the community didn’t buy gold…
just not enough players to remove all bots, dead game if they do, i remember days when soul wars were active in the real runescape, back then they started bot nuked and suddenly you couldn't play this minigame anymore
@@volgran what a stupid take
Thanks Steve! Doing Saradomin's work
Nice video pugger

It would be interesting to see how many bot farms Jagex could catch if they were able to check for groups of accounts that hop worlds at the same time at the same place and then watch those accounts for suspicious activity.
Im convinced that these bot farms are made by jagex themselves lol.
thank you steve
Insane how quickly and efficiently the bot owner(s) can move to capitalise on something like this!
I’m so happy for them. Jagex gets their bond money, bots get to sell their gold, players get items for cheaper. Triple win 😂🎉
It actually is really impressive how fast they acted.
And it shows that combating bots by banning them or making content more annoying to engage with is impossible, as bots get developed and created at a rate that’s impossible to keep up with.
at least the bots are gay 🤡
Imagine - the developers anticipated this and are either working with people that run scripts or running the scripts themselves
@@O_BRIZZLEwhy would developers bot their own game? Lol
Wow that math is soooo rough. Like I’m not sure how you could even estimate that with so little research.
bots are running through the obstacle pipe in taverly dungeonand running to the fire obelisk
Why train agility on new bot account?
As a regular player how do I obtain this cheaper membership your talking about? I’ve just been buying it from them monthly
Just make it so you don't get any reward if you're not there when the event spawns. That's how it's supposed to be
Sir pugger - "look guys i found bots in runescape"
.......ok?
Thanks, Steve!
How do you get membership with twitch prime?
How does someone run 250 bots??? Thats crazy. Do you have to have like 100 conputers or somthing??
they need to make it so that if you aren’t present when the event spawns you can’t participate
This is why I play Ironman, gold and buying items means nothing its so easy to obtain there's no achievement in it.
I seen a bunch of bots all over today. It’s crazy!
Just make it so you cant see the event if you hop world, its not a big deal as most legit woodcutters are staying on the same world.
How did i read the title as "Forestry Bot Exploits Framed for 24 hours"
and after people get what they want from forestry, right back to wc guild, only people who wc out in the open is bots. Who was this update for?
It’s simple, just stop releasing new content and fix the content that is already available. Focusing on stopping bots is clearly the change the game has always needed but never implemented
Bots will just find another way
Free memberships should only enable a single and excluded server like a fresh new game that won't merge.
Yeah for the bots that's a drop in the ocean when they make enough gold to buy a yearly membership on the underground markets every single hour
possible easy fix, don't allow a player to join an event unless they were already logged in when it spawned.
they could just set a realy high skill requirement to even get these event's or make them be active accounts for 100 hours first. ofcourse they don't it's all about money
how do you get cheap membership? i cant affort member because inflation
Yooo new pugger video let’s go!!
I wish membership was still $5 a month.
Just force every player to do a CAPTCHA image for every single time they perform any action in the game. easy solution to bots.
Bots can solve most captchas and just outsource the rest. Not a solution plus it's a horrible experience for legit players
This was one of the first things they tried to counter bots back in runescape classic. It didn't work and just annoyed real players.
I feeel like Jagex should have server alerts for when a large number of avatars are stacked in a single tile or chunk checking in remote places.
Can you investigate potential bot farms on north side of GE - I keep seeing like 3-5 lvl 38-40 combat accounts wearing nothing but a glory and alching... but their stats don't appear on highscores. They are all the base character created when you make a new account, which makes me think bot farm
I got a false ban on my account for macroing and I have never once used a bot or macro or any kind. Who is the jmod on Twitter I should reach out to about this? I've spent hundreds of dollars on bonds and tried to appeal but I remember there being a jmod who was active in looking at potential false bans
Might wanna do a vid where you PK Hunter bots. A lot of them have a huge amount of post-99 Hunter XP, a few even at 200M.
Make world hopping have restrictions like interacting with events? Jesus how much simpler can it get
Can't they just make the event instanced per player? That way you can't scout it out and flood it ahead of time?
Tons of glory charging or other bots at fountain of rune they instantly log out but they log back in after 10 seconds to the same world
