If you really understood the bars here... Mr. Rogers was especially savage with his unfortunately.
I think the Cool Runnings line was more about how big Mr. T is and how he has as much mass as 4 people (enough to replace the bobsled team in Cool Runnings) than any real connection between Mr. T and the movie.
I always thought it was more like "I'm going to tear you apart and put you on ice."
@@antoniosaavedra2320 Possibly, but I never made that connection. I've always interpreted it to be that Mr. Rogers was still going to defeat Mr. T even though he was as big as 4 guys and that the Cool Runnings part was just throwaway filler connecting to the "4 black dudes".
In the 'A Team' show, BA was allegedly trained in Jamaica.
Mr Rogers is considered one of the nicest people ever. It was not just some tv persona.
Even on the internet no one can find a single bad story about him.
Mr. T’s last name is Tureaud, and that’s pretty hard to spell, if you ask me. Your reasoning explained why the “Mr.,” but Mr. Rogers’ bar explained why “you call yourself T.”
It's far from the best ERB, but I remember this being the first one to drop an unedited f bomb, and how funny it was that Mr. Rogers was the one to drop it.
I believe I saw an interview where he said that was his favorite cuss word.
He would use it if he stubbed his toe on a bed corner at night, but not at a person.
I think that is a reasonable response to pain from anyone.
That is the thing with curse words or any word it's when/why/how/who you use it(on).
I do remember the episode where he learned to breakdance! And, yeah, this Epic Rap Battle wasn't so epic. I think that in real life, Mr. T & Mr. Rogers are too genuinely nice to be really savage.
After reading about mr t, he was anything but nice in his past. I imagine he’s nice now cause he’s old but he was not the man to be messed with in his prime. I read that he got in over 300 fights in his bouncing careers and won most of them, he was sued a couple of times too but he won all of those.
@@whatitdodave It seems to me that Mr. T was acutely aware that he had many young fans while he was on the A-Team and wanted to be a good role model to the young fans especially.
As far as still playing Mr. Roger's Neighborhood I'm not sure but there is a Spin-off of it based around Daniel Tiger.
Mr Rogers is so calm yet so terrifying in this battle🤣🤣🤣🤣
The "40 Year Old Virgin" is a movie. The poster of the film just has a picture of the main character, very 'vanilla-looking', which reminds you of Fred Rogers. The character also lives alone with "action figures", sorta like Fred!
That move has Steve Carelle
I just love how Mr. Rogers delivers these lines and comes across like a complete psycho, lol. Gotta give it to him for that.
But yeah, I wish the battle was a bit longer and had more memorable bars. Kinda meh overall.
You had the same reaction to Mr Rogers ending line was the same as mine, a slight cluckle but massively uncomfortable like "uhhh mr rogers you good?"
I suggest you watch Mr. Rogers in front of the Senate when Public Television was asking for more funding. It's pretty mind blowing.
You can do alll the research in the world, but sometimes the bar is just a petty school yard jab or a joke not based on anything. It’s just a battle at the end of the day… no rules in a battle rap.
The Cool Runnings bar was more of a hit than you seemed to think. It's a ninja bar, doesn't seem like anything at first then slowly starts hurting more and more.
"I'll chop you into 4 black dudes and I'll remake cool runnings."
Translation
"Beating you isn't even a workout (you soft). You're so big I can get 4 normal dudes from you. (So big as hell and can't fight)"
Another translation
"You just big for absolutely no reason."
It's really not all the special.
It's not a "bar".
ERB REACTION HYPE LETS GOOOO
Cool Runnings was about 3 Jamaican runners that missed Olympic trials because 1 tripped and took out the other 2 by accident. Add in a Downhill Kart driver and a old Bobsled coach and you get Cool Runnings.
fantastic video
Mr Rodgers won in my opinion just straight savage
Cool Runnings was the highlight of Mr.T's hollywood career. Having it remade without him would really hurt him. That is why T had that look on his face after that line conveying the message"That is really messed up". Rogers won this decisively with that last line.
When it gets closer to Halloween, you might want to check out Slappy Vs. Chucky (especially since they are going to start that series starring Chucky on TV next month).
I always thought the "cool runnings" line was in there because of the rumors of Mr. Rogers being a sniper or a Navy Seal.
Well this was a season 1 battle so it's not as great as the other seasons but man was that a trip down memory lane.
he also collected them from those he bounced out. there is an ep of black dynamite where its dynamite vs Mr rogers. along with a nice bob ross vs the devil. even a sequel to it with bob ross vs mr rogers.
there was one funny ep of Rogers that ended up with him flicking the bird to everyone and the kids follow.
Mr. Rogers actually made a point of staying at 143 lbs. Because 1 letter in I, 4 letters in love and 3 letters in you.
'it's the quiet ones you got to watch' indeed. :)
tbh I think only Americans have seen Mr Rodgers, because he never played on TV down here in Australia. I’ve only heard of figures like him and Bill Nye the Science Guy from Americans and American media, like this lol. but at Bill Nye got his own series on Netflix to continue educating people. as for Mr T, of course his show has played, but I never paid much attention tbh. however, I have read a little about him online. the thing with the name, and the hairstyle, and how people would ask him aren’t those gold chains heavy, and him responding with no one asked his ancestors whether their chains were heavy. I was like damn, now I understand him a bit better...
I don’t remember who the actor for mr rogers was but I know he did a show or an episode of something where he shared a kiddie pool with a black guy in the time when America was still against a black guy and a white guy sharing a pool
That’s what’s up
On this episode of ERB, Mr. T vs Mr. Rogers. The A-Team vs Mr. Rogers Neighborhood
Mr. Rogers was a serious Navy Seal. under his vests and long sleeves are a bunch of tattoos.
The thing is though, it's only respect if they call you Mr. by choice.
Wasn't Mr Roger's a sniper in Vietnam or something?
Unfortunately, a myth
Mr. Rodgers was involved with television well throughout the war.
He never served in the military
The A Team starting Epic Lloys as…everyone but B.A.
~_~
Mr T also wears gold necklaces and wrist bracelets to replace the chains of bondage placed on his ancestors during slavery times who were chained by the neck and wrists during Middle Passage
You have a nice voice
New sub here :)
If u havnt seen "Throwing Shade" by connor quest could u react to it please?
Mr. Rogers clearly won it because he was just absolutely savage.
Oooo I wonder if The letter T is meant for The Truth
Fun fact: Mr. Rodgers was rocking his sweater long before Bill Cosby, so that bar is invalid by Mr.T
if i remember correctly, BA had few lines in the A team because he had trouble learning his lines. I think the too dumb to spell line refers to that.
edit: Not sure if it's true. Could be just a rumour, just like all youngh kids in high school hear about marily manson removing his ribs so he could do a certain sexual act on himself.
I served our countries
Yeah, no, Mr. Rogers was never seriously accused of harming kids. Mr. T was just giving him crap for being an adult man who loved children and built his whole career around helping them.
I think the virgin, no pussy thing was a jab at how Mr. Rogers did not fit into the macho mold? His version of masculinity was soft-voiced, gentle, and emotionally intelligent.
That’s a reach but it’s all I can think of, because you’re right, Mr. Rogers had a long, loving marriage, and several children. But he was utterly devoted to his wife, not a player, so it doesn’t count to Mr. T…? I don’t know 🤷♀️
I love ERB of history, but this one kind of rubs me the wrong way. This man was a national treasure. He was famously against being unkind to anyone. He got mocked plenty for his show when he was alive and it bothered him- especially the nasty jokes about him having an ulterior motive for caring about kids. Can we leave this dude alone in death, at least?
Thanks for your reaction! Nice to see you defend Rogers and I learned a lot about Mr. T
Roger by 1or 2 points
Mr. Rogers is a savage! Who knew?lol
Cool Running is about the first Jamaican bobsled team
Isn’t that what I said? Still don’t understand the relation between mr t and that movie.
@@whatitdodave
After watching it again, I didn't catch the word Jamaican. But yeah, the only thing I can think of is he'd have 4 black parts for a movie and they picked Cool Runnings.
Maybe PeeWee Herman needs to come back as Mr. H or Mr. P to get respect in Hollywood again. LOL.
Check out Abe Lincoln vs. Chuck Norris
I’ve seen that one for sure. It would be more of review than reaction.
This was mad disrespectful
MR T ROCKS
SORRY UNCLE DAVE
You are the type of guy that kills jokes with stupid random facts
😂
One of my least favorite ERB.
