Hah, I remember there was a really strange glitch level that looked absolutely impossible to beat ; it had to do with going through a muncher... or something. Ryukahr couldn't figure it out.
I'm loving the shades my man! EDIT: RIP shades at 0:49 ): EDIT 2: 5:18 - The return of the shades! EDIT 3: 6:39 You just raise my hopes and crush them again. EDIT 4: 18:32 - I bet you feel stupid now, _Mr too good for shades!_ If you had the shades on you could add another item on to your list making it a list of three instead of awkwardly trailing off. CONCLUSION: Brilliant video but a *SEVERE* lack of shades. 1/10
for the saw blade map at the end, he should have made his strategy jumping only on the left side of the mushroom, one jump on each mushroom, instead of jumping to both sides of it. it would be half the jumps, if he could get the rhythm down
Love your videos, man. I don't even have a Wii U or any nintendo console as of now, but watching you play SMM is still extremely enjoyable, and because of this channel I'm saving up money to get a Wii U so I can get back into Mario. Keep it up!
You can get a used one for 100-200$ on amazon. If you have to save up for it maybe you should wait until they release SMM2 or SSMDeluxe and bundle it on the switch? Gamestop usually has wii us for around the same price, so maybe you can trade in old games you don't want for it. Now that I think about it you can trade in games for credit at amazon too.

I have a gimmick run thought up. It’s a super expert no skip run, but for the first level you have 6 lives, second 5, third 4, etc. That could be super challenging!
I love the little recap that Ryu does at the end of each video with the music playing. It brings me back to when kids' shows would do the same thing after their mild adventures.
Things that video creators notice that others don't: The verbal cues you give yourself, so when watching a playback, you know where and what to edit. "Cue video montage" for example. Keep up the good work, Ryu. ;)

"terrible life decision" is one of those levels where it demands you do specific jumps repetitively, so in retrospect, you've already completed the stage. the lack of "check points" makes this a stage that should only exist for people to do a "TAS" run with, and this is different from having to do multiple "double shell jumps" which oddly would be easier and more forgiving to do than having to jump from a few pixels of space over a death plane and to another couple pixels of space.
there is nothing more frustrating than a last pixel jump, cause you feels like you sucks when you fail it. but in reality it's much more harder than it looks.

That level was like dark souls. It encourages exploration with secrets but punishes you for trying new things, usually with dark pits that are pretty similar to kaizo blocks.
This run had all the classic types of Super Expert levels and then some more, and while that last level was as welcoming as the gates of Mordor I was still impressed by your efforts to make the impossible happen. The BOTW level was actually pretty good even with some janky platforming, I approve your decision since that level had originality and fair tricks! :)

Hello from Estonia! Back in Soviet Russian times, around '91 we used to have SMW nationals in a different way. Start the game, put on clock and you have 5 min to get higest score possible. No major clitches allowed. Do the challenge!

I have a challenge for you ryu! Try 5 super expert runs keeping the lifes of the previous one into the next one, you are allowed to skip 5 stages in total (so you can save them up for the last run, use them all in the first run, or use one in every run, or some combination of those (as long as not more then 5 stages have been skipped))
