  • A new strain of bird flu, which previously killed a man in Louisiana, has now been detected in dairy cows in Nevada. The detection, part of a national milk testing program by the USDA, indicates the strain, previously linked to migrating birds and poultry, has now spilled over into cattle. Dr. Anne Rimoin is a Professor of Epidemiology at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, she joins Micah Ohlman and Cher Calvin to discuss the evolving bird flu threat, as well as surges in seasonal influenza and a new CDC warning about Ebola in Uganda.
