All the "!colour" composers are truly amazing, Like Messiaen, Ravel, Debussy, Scriabin... But ofc, there's somehting especially great about the way Takemitsu handles the orchestra... I am fascinated everytime I hear his pieces, it's like it's no difference between his chamber works or his orchestral pieces, they have the same instrumental colour and atmosphere. Amazing music.

The textures at 5:28 are amazing, with the strings in glissando, while the woodwinds do gentle, lyrical solos above.
I know, right?? Shame that it comes by so fast and doesn't expand into something even thicker... but then, that's just my opinion :P
