Thanks for showing this. Congratulations on your partnership with Perrin Performance. That AOS is pretty complicated. Going to contact Perrin about the same for a 2022 BRZ along with some other Perrin stuff!
Your build videos are great! Based on your outstanding presentation, I'm convinced Perrin is the way to go. I have purchased STRUT BRACE FOR GR86, COLD AIR INTAKE FOR 2022-2023 BRZ/GR86, LICENSE PLATE RELOCATION FOR BRZ/FR-S/86/GR86, and ENGINE COVER FOR BRZ/GR86. Congratulations on your partnership with Perrin.
Well, congrats on the partnering first off. I have some Perrin parts on my 2nd gen and they're nice as expected, but I really love my Killer B catchcan.
@@KevinVo So if you go with an AOS system (instead of a CC), can (& should) you still install a CC as well or would that not be possible/completely unnecessary?
@3:58 The first gen automatic only have one hose under the intake manifold cover also, just in case anyone with an automatic pops that cover off and panic when they see only one
Hey Kevin, I know you’ve been looking for the perfect exhaust setup. Would be great to see some (few) of the valved exhaust options that are out there. Not seen much coverage of any of them.
Hey Kevin, I've been following your build for a while now, and it's awesome! I noticed you got the base model because you intended on replacing the seats. I too am getting a base model in about 3 months (Expected at least) I didn't want leather seats as I live in northern Australia and well... that's a bit hot for leather seats. One thing I am a little disappointed about is the lack of puddle lights in the base model. I was wondering if you were interested in putting those in your car and making a video on it as your videos are extremely informative. Keep up the awesome work!
I accidentally bought the GR puddle lights thinking it would work in my base model. Turns out there are no lights included, but still a spot for it! If there was any way to get this to work in the base, I agree would be super cool
Rewatching this again and seeing if this or the Verus AOS is easier to install. Since this is a year old (and assuming your partnership is complete) which did you prefer: the Perrin or Verus 😅?
@@KevinVo I don't know the manufacture specs. but using Teflon is frowned upon because of the chance of it flowing into the oil pan sump, blocking different routes inside the engine block. But again What do I know it may not do it at all and could be good. But I just wanted to make sure you knew that just incase something were to happen with the AOS
Is there really a point of having these on the new cars, AOS and even Catch cans. You know it might help a little bit but very neglible. Alot of these new cars dont need it. If one were to need it id say an older GDI engine. Direct Injection.
Nice job Kevin! Congrats on the perrin partnership, they know good talent!
Thank you, Jonathan!

Thank you! Killer B is fantastic as well!

Congrats on the partnership !
The products build quality looks amazing!
Great video! An aos is good insurance. That and Perrin has stellar parts. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Great content man. We need some seat time vids. Would love to see you thrash on the FRS!
Will be doing a few track days this year with Gridlife!

great content as always kevin! more stuff to come!
Perrin AOS installed
Hope they can make more exhaust components like their catback

I run a catch can because most AOS has the drain back port connected with the dirty airflow port… flatirons did a video about that a while back
Wouldn’t a drain back kit fix that issue?
I'm surprised you haven't done this a while ago
I should've
That Perrin strut bar looks like it has a lot of room to move side to side in the mounts. Is it actually effective under twist/load?
Exactly what I was thinking. I don't like the feet. It should just be one piece
Once everything is torqued down, it's not going anywhere.
come out to gridlife this year in michigan! would love to see ya test drive the elantra N see what your opinion is on it!
Would you ever throw in the HKS supercharger? 👀
Would this be the same routing with forced induction
you didn't need to bleed the air from the heating plate?
How different does this aos set up look like with a jdl turbo kit? For a 2017 first gen manual?
Do you think an AOS is necessary for a street car or more for the track?
No worries about not having hose clamps on all those new hose fittings?
Some will need hose clamps.
@@KevinVo no need for clamps on all the fittings? Just wondering if they'll stay secure with your track duty.
@Tony S not on all of them. If anything I'll just throw some zipties on there.
@@KevinVo sounds good! Keep up the great work. Cheers!
Looks good 😅😊
Cusco Strut bar is still on my GR86.
Oh lol, my bad!
When you gonna drive this
Once it warms up and isn't snowing.
Did you put Teflon on the fittings?
Yes

@SickEdgeDesigns applied correctly, that won't occur. Just gotta avoid the first few threads. NPT fittings require some sort of sealant.
@@KevinVo Oh cool!. Thank you for messaging me back. I'm becoming a automotive tech. so any amount of knowledge helps greatly!
What happened to the fancy garage????

Hey Kev! would you want to install my AOS on my 2015 WRX to have on the channel? I'd pay you on top of it if you want.
Unfortunately, I don't work on anyone else's car. Too much liability 😅
