Toney M. and the fact that you can hide some of your apps which I never found on any launcher except LG launcher. I don't know why they hate the LG's UI but it's clean and user friendly.
Nigel Momper Exactly. I know its easy enough to replace a launcher, but I've always preferred to stick with what comes with the phone, and the LG launcher still supports the most customization of any stock launcher I've seen. I was amazed when I had my Note 7 that you still can not hide applications in the app drawer! Plus I hated the way it would not automatically keep apps sorted alphabetically and I had to keep hitting that "A-Z" button whenever I installed new apps. Plus you can even change the icon for any application in the LG launcher with either icon packs from the play store (using a app called ThemeX), official LG themes, or use any picture you want as a icon. Plus with the latest version of LG's skin on the V20 called LG UX 5.0+ they finally have a full theme engine like Samsung. Themes can replace/change the look of the entire UI including the notification panel/quick settings, settings app, all the stock/LG apps, the LG widgets, LG keyboard, and the icons. And the first user made V20 theme has already been posted in the Play store, so its possible for users to make their own themes and then share them in the play store or directly with other users since the themes are packaged as standard APK files! Also its kind of funny that if you look at the latest Nougat beta for the S7/S7 Edge parts of the UI like the notification panel/quick settings are very much like LG UX 5.0+.
Just got mine yesterday and I LOVE it! I am a heavy samsung user for like 6 years soooo it is taking a bit to get use to this phone. I came from the Note 7 (RIP) but I can honestly say I am happy with my choice on getting the V20 instead of the S7 edge as a replacement. :D
Similar experience for me. Got the note 7 on launch day (RIP), exchanged it the first time, then swapped it for a S7 edge when the final recall and cancellation hit. Not a bad phone by any means, but I really missed the larger screen of the Note 7. You'd think that 5.5 to 5.7 is not that noticeable but it is. Anyways swapped the S7 Edge for the V20 about a week ago, and I really love it so far. My last LG phone was the G4 which I still have, so I'm not new to LG but the LG UX on the V20 is a million times better than LG's UX on the G4. I actually really like the UI.
+Sean Placker you ever had any major problems with their g4? Because I had to get the motherboard changed(yes, I'm not kissing)a few months back. It didnt cost me anything as their warranty covered that. And I'm getting a v20 next week so would love to know how the phone feels..
salman razaq Nah I can luckily say that I never had the infamous bootloop problem with my G4. I gave it to my mother and she is using it now. It's still working great. And still loving my V20.
After having to return my beloved Note 7 lol and getting the V20, I have to say I'm very happy with it. Some features in would have liked to have like IP68 but every phone has its pros and cons.
Marissa J Absolutely. Love the V20. I still have my iPhone 7 for work purposes. The V20 is definitely a phone that flies under the radar. Also Verizon is having a major sale on the phone.
Gal Root huh what is your definition of "best"? there is the Google pixel xl that does it better. better camera, smoother device with better ui, better battery that last longer. better speakers that sound better, sounds like Google pixel xl is the best
V20 is the only flagship that is not limited. Good SOC any company can put in the phone. Pixel is a very good phone, regardless of the hideous design. But the V20 also gives you removable battery, IR blaster, SD card slot, MUCH (!!!) better camera controls and MUCH better overall photography experience.. but sure, the Pixel's camera is better for quick point&shoot. If you ever used LG camera app, well.. it obliterates the competitions. BTW, I believe the pixel doesn't even have shutter control for long exposure which is a deal breaker for me. Well.. the battery thing too. And what's with the Pixel's price? It's priced around 200$ more than it should be.
Just got my v20 on Wed. LOVE IT! Wasn't sure I was going to coming from a Note 7. But this thing KILLS the Note 7 in everyway but the s pen feature. Super fast and responsive! Holds cell signals better and stronger. Keyboard is way better. And a whole lot more! Soo glad for the recall on my Note 7 now! Lol! LG has a true winner with the v20!
Check C Sorry I don't at all! All the buggy ness I never knew about in it till I got my v20...hell no! Just kinda miss my s pen still but even that is getting to be not so much. V20 is just better in every way but maybe the display and that's about it. I was just sitting next to my wife with her note 7 tonight cause she has refused to get rid of ut yet and she was having wifi connectivity issues while I was still enjoying a super fast connectivity with everything working! She was not happy but those are the types of things that go on with samsung phones I just didn't know till now it wasn't normal. LOL!
I've loved this phone so far overall but after a month I find it hard to believe u haven't had any lag or hiccups. I've had mine a week and already have had several freezes and crashing apps. I've had to restart it several times to fix the issue and I restart my phone every other day to avoid this stuff in the first place and always clear my cache to avoid ram overload
It is a matter of software problem which might have been caused by the applications not suitable for the new version of Android. If you stick to safe apps which are optimized for the new version of Android, I think there would be not many instances you would undergo a problem.
Samual Williams and I'm saying I've used all these apps on my last phone that I literally just had last week with no issues. Now suddenly many of them aren't working properly? Even Firefox and fb messenger don't work right. Not only that but the phone in general randomly stops working properly with anything I try to do then I need to restart it for it to work ok until it starts happening again. It even has issues just playing some videos in my gallery.
LG Phone Rocks! Use to claim Vanilla Android experience as the best, then noticed that my favorite ROMS were featured rich...THis phone is FEATURED RICH STOCK. Nice.
Just remembered I had a new pair of Beats headphones kept in the drawer...unboxed it and plugged it straight into my V20, literally had an aural orgasm (the closest explanation I can think of). It's so crazy, songs that you've heard like hundreds of times before sounded totally different...sounds like it's gone through digital remastering (for audiophiles). Louder and crisper and totally effortless reproduction of your favorite tracks...you'll be totally rewarded for getting a slightly better headphones. Highly recommended for the average music lover for an upgrade in their listening experience.
I lucked out and got a factory unlocked LG V20 as an early Christmas gift. It came bundled with an LG tablet, JBL wireless over the ear headphones and a 10,500 mAh Asus powerbank. I have a 256gb mico sd card for it too. My Note 3 was a trooper but it recently started bootlooping like crazy to the point where I had to get another phone. I had been using Galaxy Note devices since the original came out like 4 or 5 years ago so I was skeptical about switching manufacterers. But at the same time, I wasn't that interested in the Note 7 because there was no root for it, they made the screen too narrow, the battery was not removable, there is no MHL support and no IR blaster either. All of these are features I love about my Note 3 and I felt like if I lost all of this, I'd be downgrading in a way. I listen to a lot of music too. So I was also drawn to the V20 because of the enhanced audio specs this device has to offer. This phone was the perfect choice for me because it has some features similar to the Note line and it also reminds me of the Marshall London, another phone I was interested in. The London's selling point is its audiophile sound quality. It also has a removable battery. LG copied Marshall's style a little bit with the battery design and audio specs. The Marshall was too small with very mediocre specs aside from the audio. So I love how LG took some of the best features from the London and the Note and made a new device that stands out in the phablet world. I'm enjoying the second screen too. It is very convenient. The only thing I don't like about it is, it is still technically all one screen. So when you watch videos, the second screen is more of a dark gray instead of pitch black. So it's still noticeable even when it's "off", which can be a little bit of an eye sore. The other issue is, the V20 is hard to find accessories for. Right now, there isn't a huge selection of cases or screen protectors for it. I've been using it for two weeks. The performance has been great. No complaints there. The camera is very good. There are a lot of settings to get used to. Those features make the camera seem sort of complicated at first. I love this phone. The HiFi audio when headphones are plugged in makes a difference. Audio transmitted over bluetooth is also phenomenal. This phone has a very premium look and feel to it as well. I'd say its the best phone of the year. I'm surprised more people don't have it it or even know about it. But that's a good thing because I like standing out with a phone that is different. My boyfriend bought me this phone because I had been talking about getting one. He didn't know why I wanted this. Now that he's seen it in action he wants me to switch phones with him. He has a 256gb iPhone 7 Plus.
They don't ship with the BO headphones. You had to submit your redeem your order with LG to get them. I'm still waiting on mine and its been 4 weeks already 😕 and I think the promo is already over anyways.
I am on LG g5 since 9 months and loving it. I keep iphone as a standby due to this. Never ever liked an android phone so much. Waiting to upgrade to v20 when it launches here in india.
Had a Note 7. Went back to my LG G3 and liked the interface better than the Note 7, so got the LG V20. Absolutely AWSOME phone. I have 230+ apps on it. Doesn't even phase it. Sound quality in decent light weight headphones in incredible. LOVE the V20. I'm sticking with LG. Did I mention how much better it is to carry a spare battery around in it's little case instead of one of those dumb battery packs?
Of course it's the most underrated just because its LG and not the "cool kid" that does what everyone else is doing this year:12mp camera, sealed in battery, waterproof, glass and metal. The V20 is the only phone that stands out with a feature set more advanced than what the average user will need. For its target audience, the only thing that comes close is the V10. Great phone.
Respect bro! Your video on this is the only one I liked and commented on... I'm getting one of them soon! Thanks much bro!... I'm subscribing too and recommending others!... Once again... Respect bro!...
Hi Karl! Love your reviews, but i have noticed you never review any Bang & Olufsen products. It would be really nice to see a BeoPlay H7 and/or BeoPlay A1 review, since I'm really fond of the design and can't seem to find any proper review of them in a videoformat. Keep up the good work!
my only beef is the battery life. i've done everything i can to extend it, but it only lasts a few hours with normal use. lucky we have quick charge 3.0, but it's such a hassle to have to charge your phone every few hours. how do you get around this obstacle? 2nd battery?
I wanna echo my love for this phone I've had mine for almost two weeks. Excellent device. Underrated as hell. Definitely a good alternative to the Pixel XL
The V20 is the best 2016 cell phone..Still put it the best in 2017 as well as unique looking, DAC, manual camera controls, the ability to record ausio and video with hifi audio, drop resistance and functionality.
I just purchased this phone 2 days ago (Feb 9 2017 ) and for me it is Awesome!!! But with that said, its pretty bad when the sales person and the tech support could not trouble shoot small issues and all it took was 3mins for my Son to fix these issues. Go figure. Awesome Phone!!!
I have an LG G3 and I sort of want this, but there are things I hate about my LG G3 that I'm afraid I would experience with the V20. The phone at direct sunlight, battery when using data and they only have 16gb and 32gb despite the memory card.
This one comes with 64gb already in there. And I own a g4 and the screen looks slightly better in sunlight but they made it brighter for the g5 and of course v20. As for battery, i have no clue. Im waiting until the g6. I just like smaller phones and LG seems to listen to the consumer more. The removable battery is no joke. I carry one extra fully charged all time and its a life saver/
first thing you do when you buy the LG V20 "Buy A Case" Its a great phone, Charge's so fast, great camera, Big screen really like the 2nd screen no need to turn on my phone to look at the time.
Loving the V20! My current daily driver
Karl Conrad love your stuff Karl!

agreed..
this guy got some sense of humor lol . love your videos man, keep it up
thanks man!
I like the lg U.I. I don't know know why people hate it they let you customize everything it's Awesome.
Toney M. Agreed
Toney M. and the fact that you can hide some of your apps which I never found on any launcher except LG launcher. I don't know why they hate the LG's UI but it's clean and user friendly.

Yea I don't know it's weird. It's MILES better and more snappy than touchwiz imo.
I agree its better than touchwiz but as soon as i installed nova launcher prime battery performance shot way up and lag has gone way down on my LG G4

stupid typos...

Watching this on my V20.
Just got my LG V20 today. A pretty big step up from Note 3. Lots to learn.
After having to return my beloved Note 7 lol and getting the V20, I have to say I'm very happy with it. Some features in would have liked to have like IP68 but every phone has its pros and cons.
Christian Ramos how is the battery
Christian Ramos ㅋㅋ

Edward Nelson good move
Edward Nelson how did you go? Any regrets? What's your review?
Edward Nelson is it worth it? I'm thinking of moving from my iPhone to this
Marissa J Absolutely. Love the V20. I still have my iPhone 7 for work purposes. The V20 is definitely a phone that flies under the radar. Also Verizon is having a major sale on the phone.
Edward Nelson I went to check it out yesterday and I loved it. So I do want to get it. Thanks for the feedback!

Your channel is so underrated Karl. You deserve more views and subscribers.
Underrated? It's the best phone of 2016!
Gal Root who pays you?
What do you mean? It is the best phone right now.
Gal Root huh what is your definition of "best"? there is the Google pixel xl that does it better. better camera, smoother device with better ui, better battery that last longer. better speakers that sound better, sounds like Google pixel xl is the best

Great review. I plan to get the LG V20 for my next phone.
Great energy; enjoyed the review.

cannot wait to get my hands on one of these - almost perfect
I am so glad I purchased this phone!!

If you stick to safe apps which are optimized for the new version of Android, I think there would be not many instances you would undergo a problem.
Smart Humanism maybe but they're all safe apps that are popular and have several millions of downloads. I used them all fine on my last phone as well
Nick E Crashing apps are usually the applications fault.
Samual Williams and I'm saying I've used all these apps on my last phone that I literally just had last week with no issues. Now suddenly many of them aren't working properly? That's weird how my apps never crash? I have this phone too.
LG Phone Rocks! Use to claim Vanilla Android experience as the best, then noticed that my favorite ROMS were featured rich...THis phone is FEATURED RICH STOCK. Nice.
I've had the v20 for a few days now and I love it
yes i am using and loving v10..absolutely love v20..
Awesome video!
Just bought one for and one for my old lady, and i am loving it ! Great replacement for the note7 that i wanted !
I just bought mine and I love it!!!
One thing i don't like with lgv20 is they will not release it in EU.
Leo Padz yes they do, I just saw them on Sprint two day ago.
Dennis Arriaza where exactly? Coz i live in amsterdam
but it from ebay....I bought mine from ebay and I live in italy....so your best bet to get the phone is to buy it online.
Nice review!
Have one and I'm super happy 👍
I really love the quality of pictures the LG phones give 😍
Great vid Karl =)
Just ordered one, replacing note 7 finally
I ALWAYS forget my name. 👍
this could be handy for you!
Roman Mestas who's phone is this? oh 😁
great video buddy, keep it up.
YOU FORGOT TO MENTION THE IR BLASTER
Just remembered I had a new pair of Beats headphones kept in the drawer...unboxed it and plugged it straight into my V20, literally had an aural orgasm (the closest explanation I can think of). It's so crazy, songs that you've heard like hundreds of times before sounded totally different...sounds like it's gone through digital remastering (for audiophiles). Louder and crisper and totally effortless reproduction of your favorite tracks...you'll be totally rewarded for getting a slightly better headphones.
Highly recommended for the average music lover for an upgrade in their listening experience.
good battery life & wonder music sound
A great phone and thanks for a great review.
how is your sound quality and experience with this phone?
OMG LOVE THIS VIDEO
its gonna bootloop
Just Exchanged my Note 7 with it and It's a Great Device to experience
But kinda Big 😁
I have a V20 and love it. You can also double tap the front screen to turn phone on. In case your phone is down and don't want to pick it up.
Does the D brand skin add any protection? Or is it just a skin. I like that marble.
just a skin
Richard Powell The V20 has built. in drop protection, though. Watch Android Authority's video about that.
its completely useless , just for desired look
I lucked out and got a factory unlocked LG V20 as an early Christmas gift. It came bundled with an LG tablet, JBL wireless over the ear headphones and a 10,500 mAh Asus powerbank. The phone pretty much has the BEST DAC of any phone on the market. This is the reason I bought this one.
I didnt see the marble skin on Debrand?
what case do you use on v20 ? or just dbrand ? love that white marble texture..
Tnx for posting this review, nice job on it.... LM
They don't ship with the BO headphones. You had to submit your redeem your order with LG to get them. I'm still waiting on mine and its been 4 weeks already 😕 and I think the promo is already over anyways.

I swear DBrand sponsorship is everywhere
I plan on getting it when the price drops.

I do agree regarding : one of the most underrated phones. But I must confess, I am concerned regarding Boot loop issues I'm hearing about.
Hi, I love my LG V20 too
The wide angle lense on the v20 is F2.4 and the battery capacity is 3200mAh.
Pixel vs V20? Which are you liking more?
Daniel Cook Xl
the Pixel TBH - stay posted for my review
i have used both, i got the V20 and im loving it.
Daniel Cook V20 Great phone
V20 is fantastic

Respect bro! Your video on this is the only one I liked and commented on... I'm getting one of them soon! Thanks much bro!... I'm subscribing too and recommending others!... Once again... Respect bro!...
Hi Karl! Love your reviews, but i have noticed you never review any Bang & Olufsen products. It would be really nice to see a BeoPlay H7 and/or BeoPlay A1 review, since I'm really fond of the design and can't seem to find any proper review of them in a videoformat. Keep up the good work!
This has convinced me to get one of these...... Time to trade in the G3.
Great Video
Hoping I have this for Christmas! Fingers crossed 😁👍👍
i Just started out on youtube! you are such an inspiration!!
thanks!
Nice Video BrO♥♥♥
Just bought this phone for $200! Amazing deal.
😍
my only beef is the battery life. i've done everything i can to extend it, but it only lasts a few hours with normal use. lucky we have quick charge 3.0, but it's such a hassle to have to charge your phone every few hours.
how do you get around this obstacle? 2nd battery?
Awesome vid
I wanna echo my love for this phone I've had mine for almost two weeks. Excellent device. Underrated as hell. Definitely a good alternative to the Pixel XL
this phone it is soo amazing
Karl, how tall are you?
Hey Karl, where do you find batteries for the LG V20?
I agree loving my V20
i want the version of the v20 that is smaller and water proof but naw lg aint selling that one in the states, it doesnt make sense to me
The V20 is the best 2016 cell phone..Still put it the best in 2017 as well as unique looking, DAC, manual camera controls, the ability to record ausio and video with hifi audio, drop resistance and functionality.
What phone you use as your primary phone ?
nice work
I know that's a dbrand skin but how did you get that color
love my LG v20
Is the back camera glass still holding up? I hear it scratches easily and breaks. Its the only thing holding me back from buying the thing.
1 month .still waiting available for my country
Love mine!
should i buy it or buy the iphone 7 plus
Can it be rooted?
I just purchased this phone 2 days ago (Feb 9 2017 ) and for me it is Awesome!!! But with that said, its pretty bad when the sales person and the tech support could not trouble shoot small issues and all it took was 3mins for my Son to fix these issues. Go figure.
Awesome Phone!!!
man dbrand isn't putting up that marble skin. I'm waiting to get that wrap now...
pixel or v20 ?
Ardiana Comia The battery life is SUPERB!!
first thing you do when you buy the LG V20 "Buy A Case" Its a great phone, Charge's so fast, great camera, Big screen really like the 2nd screen no need to turn on my phone to look at the time.
