CLIMBING GIOTTOS TOWER FLORENCE

Look inside Giotto's Bell Tower as I climb to the 84.7m to the top. This is the bell tower of the Santa Maria Cathedral and is a masterpiece of Italian Gothic. See amazing panoramic views of Florence from the summit balconies, which can be reached via 414 steps, which passs therough three superimposed loggias.
The construction of the bell tower was entrusted in 1334 to Giotto, the most important artist living at that time and whose name will be forever associated with this structure.
Take an evening stroll around the City of Florence just as the sun sets.
